Love the ice it makes however, the amount of consistent taking apart, cleaning for almost 2 days & the noise it makes, it’s a question on whether I’d pay this much again. The capacity is good, the installation is medium in effort & the size is about right for what it’s production of ice.

I have wanted this ice maker since it first came out but was weary about paying so much when other ice makers I owned were terrible. I’m sorry that I waited so long! This is the best ice maker I have ever encountered. It is worth every penny! The ice is perfect and the machine is the most quiet appliance in my kitchen.

We love this ice maker! Great for everyday use as well as bagging for trips or parties. Only downside to be expected is because it’s smaller ice it melts faster when in use in coolers etc. larger than anticipated but great in a corner of the counter

We loved it at first but then after multiple cleaning cycles after setting it up and then making a first batch of ice, we all tasted the ice and I noticed something in my mouth. Removed object and it was a metal shaving! I then stopped everyone from consuming the ice and then allowed the icemaker to finish making a complete batch of ice overnight. In the morning I dumped all of the ice and the side water reservoir. I went to empty the internal reservoir and notice 2 more metal shavings floating in the bottom! My husband received this as a birthday gift from his parents and we are absolutely obsessed with it. We love pellet ice and having it easily accessible at home has been a game changer. The set up was also very easy and the descaling process has also been easy as well. We recommend this thing to everyone who comes to our home.

I had a small, portable ice maker for eversl years. It finally stopped working. I had researched this model some time ago but the reviews were not very good. However, GE updated it recently and the reviews were great. I’m not sorry I bought this model. Lovely aesthetically, black SS to match my other appliances and makes loads of crunchable ice, just the way my husband likes it! This ice machine is perfect!

This ice is amazing! My family uses a lot of ice and this GE ice maker just keeps on producing. We love the soft crunch. It seems to always be full. As quick as we come back for more; it’s full again. We love it so much, we bought a second one just so we can have plenty when we have large family gatherings and life groups from church.

I have been looking forward to my Opal purchase for a long while and finally bit the bullet a few weeks ago. My husband and I spent about 2 hours unboxing, setting up and cleaning before our first use. It was not a hard process, just a bit tedious. I love the ice and using it to fill my water cup every morning and night. My husband likes it, but doesn't love it for mixed drinks as it does melt quickly. It is so nice looking and fits under our cabinets well. I'm definitely thankful we went for the upgraded side tank version. We only need to refill every few days or so. This is best for a small family and not large gatherings. I easily use half of the ice on a morning that I fill my large water cup and make iced coffee.

I love the GE Profile Opal Ice machine so far, we are using it in an office and it has produced plenty of ice for our needs. I will say that it is very important to use filtered water. The first few days I used non-filtered and you could see a difference and the machine was louder and did not run as efficiently.

I love my Opal Ice Maker, nicknamed Opal. Opal works great and looks great. Ice tastes great and the ice is clear. One thing I'm not overly loving is that it needs cleaned once a week and it does take a while. Cleaning is super easy, just tedious. Overall though, I would definitely recommend!
