My family could not be happier with nugget ice maker. With our family of 5 ice addicts we are filling the water twice a day. Only took 1 star as it does have a machine noise that is definitely noticeable. If you are sensitive to that and do not have a place you can put away, this will not be for you

Bought one for work without the side water feeder and everyone loved it. We love the Sonic style ice nuggets and have wanted that at home like forever. Freezer ice always tastes bad no mater what you do to try and improve it. We have no issues with the sound, it’s quieter than or refrigerator ice maker, even quieter than our silent dishwasher. Glad we added the side water tank, we fill it from a triple filter r/o water that sits under the sink so it rarely needs cleaning and the ice is a hit with everyone. I should have bought it years ago. Maybe a luxury item but we deserve a little luxury every now and then.

This new Opal ice machine is incredible!! The bite size nuggets are great. The door to open the ice machine now stays open so you don’t have to constantly hold it open or remove it to get ice. The machine is so quiet that you can’t even hear it when the ice drops. I highly recommend this ice machine.

Makes ice fairly quickly and is good quality ice, not mushy but firm, crunchy like it is supposed to be. Stays that way over time. Have in utility room - not sure I could see this out in an open area - not super noisy but does make some noise. Definitely get the extra water tank - even with two people we use it a lot and need to fill the extra water container maybe every other day. (It is summer in TX so prob won’t use as much in winter).

Unfortunately we have to return this ice maker. It has a squeal that is so loud it can be heat throughout our home. Customer service didn’t provide any answers. The sound is from a brand new unit and has been doing from day 1. Will be looking for another solution.

I have been wanting an ice machine that makes this type of ice for years. Finally got my wish when my refrigerators ice machine quit working. For my 46 birthday i bought this and i swear best thing i have ever bought. If you like Sonic Ice this machine is for you. Love love love it.

This was a Christmas gift for my wife because she would have me go to the store to get a cup of the “good ice” often. We are both happy with our new GE Profile Opal 2.0 Ice-Maker with extra Easy-Fill Water Tank . Definitely recommend the water tank. We now don’t need to waste fuel or time driving to the store for nugget ice. It was easy to set up. You can hear it running in our small kitchen however it’s not annoyingly loud just a gentle hum. We purchased the water filter too which is a nice option feature. Have been using it constantly for a month now without any issues. When setting it up just follow the instructions. We live in an area with hard water so we follow the descaling recommendation of every 2-3 weeks. Working virtually from home I find that I am drinking more water more often with the good ice even though it’s winter here because it’s so much more refreshing with this ice. This unit is on the expensive side however it’s been a good investment so far. We’ve had a few parties and our guests enjoy the ice too. More time is needed to know how durable it will be. After a year it would be good to give another review.

I’ve wanted one of these for so long but the price held me back. I’m so glad I finally splurged. The machine is super easy to set up. We were making ice in less than 30 minutes. The GOOD ice! Our whole family uses it throughout the day and the bin is always full for the next use. If you’re on the fence just get it!

Haven’t even had it a year and it stopped working. Downloaded the app and tried to “schedule service” but it just directs me to an (800) number. It keeps saying “add water” when it has water, tried cleaning, descaling, troubleshooting everything I’ve read. Expensive junk. When it did work, it was very loud.

The Nugget Ice last at lot longer in my drinks than the Bullet Ice from my previous Ice Maker. Does make Ice quickly. Has a removeable side tank for adding water. Side tank will hold 84 ounces of water. Does have Wi-Fi connection capability. Notifies when it needs cleaning. Claims to make 44 pounds of Ice in 24 hours. It may make that much but I have to stop making Ice because I don't have the capacity to hold 44 pounds of Ice. I can go for 3 to 4 days before making a new batch of Ice. It was more than I wanted to pay for the Ice Maker, but it is the best one I have purchased. I did purchase the extended warranty they offer. I do recommend purchasing this product.
