Absolutely love this ice maker! I was hesitant due to so many "eh" reviews, bit the bullet and just ordered one with side tank. Been using for over a month now and beats any other ice available! I start it and let it make 2 or 3 gallon bags at a time then shut it down. Its does make a little noise but its an icemaker.... dont recall ever needing to hold meetings or phone conversations etc around an icemaker doing its job. Some people complain about anything and everything.

I love what I call sonic ice. My husband really loved sonic ice. I was going to buy the icemaker for him for Christmas 2022. But he got sick in Jan. 2022 and passed away 1 year ago today. So I really bought it as a bucket list for my husband. Everytime I use it , It brings him to my mind and heart.So I love the ice machine.

The icemaker works well it does exactly what it supposed to do. I would have been happy except when I took the icemaker out of the box there was a scratch and dent on one side of it and another dent on the other side. Quality team should have caught these before they was ever packed up. These appliances cost too much to come as a scratch and dent model.

I bought this for my daughter who loves chewy ice! I saved for a couple of years to be able to afford it so I did my research! This was her Christmas present and it has made the entire family so happy! This machine is hard working and keeps the ice coming if it senses it’s getting low. The app capability to mange it is icing on the cake with my daughter she checks on it when she’s at school (LOL) via her phone! Don’t hesitate to purchase it’s an amazing little machine and now we have our own chewy ice no more trips to the gas station to get the bag of chewy ice! We love our opal! My daughter plans to take it with her to college next year!

My wife has always loved the "Sonic Ice" and we would buy bags of it wherever we could find it. So happy to have the ability to easily make this ice at home. The Opal 2.0 was super easy to set up and makes ice very quickly for our family. The ability to recycle the water when the ice melts in the container was a huge benefit over the competitive products I researched. So far, we are very happy. We did buy the optional water filter online after we purchased the ice maker. Water filter was very easy to install and makes the ice taste more "clean." We are super happy with the purchase.

Family and house guests tend to come in the door and head straight for the ice maker before even saying hi! I am personally consuming more water now just because of this ice maker as I love the 'chew' of the ice. I read all kinds of complaints of the noise, but they are not founded. It is no louder than our fridge or freezer. I should have started with the added water chamber. I was having to fill it pretty much daily. Now I can fill it once a week or so. Highly recommend!!!

The machine works as promised. Easy to set up and maintain. Storage bin is small but works for 2-3 people with moderate use, not for a dinner party. Ice quality is perfect. It would be nice to have an option for hook up for continuous water supply. It is a bit noisy but we have it in another room. Clearly a luxury but we love it!

I really wanted this to work out. I loved the ice it made but had to return the first one due to it not working properly right out of the box. The second one returned less than 30 days for the same reason. The ice maker would continually go into defrost mode and melt all the ice it made. There was plenty of space behind the unit and the sides were unobstructed.

Nugget ice is addictive and this mighty machine provides an unlimited amount! Pros: - best ice ever - able to eat ice with invisalign - makes ice automatically when ice is removed - large water tank, just fill up once a day - cleaning isn't too bad - water tank can go on either side or if you don't use the plastic clip it can be placed behind the machine - light feature is nice for getting ice in the middle of the night Cons: - loud, BUT if kept in the kitchen or away from living room it's not that bad and you don't really notice if after awhile - there is a water tray to catch leaks when the door opens, it does great catching it, just annoying (note the machine doesn't leak, the door is built so when ice melts it's reused and leaves the ice tank... the water in the ice tank leaks when the door opens because the design needs to be tweaked...there are no cracks) - the ice scoop is perfect size, just wish there was a hook, so it doesn't have to sit on top or the water leak tray - price point is high, but if you are an ice person or working from home then it's worth the expense - I do wish for this price that some of these cons didn't exist, but I am happy with my investment I have not used the app, so I cannot comment on the wifi connection or app.

We've been through 3 countertop ice makers. I decided to give this one a try, because I was tired of cheap ones that broke. Like a lot of people, i had an Add Water issue in the beginning. However, once I made sure the tank hose wasn't bent wrong, it worked perfectly. Makes the perfect ice for enjoying with your drink, or for making protein shakes, smoothies or other type drinks. Compared to our others, it is quiet (yes, some are some squeaks if you run it constantly for hours on end, but that is just from the process and you don't hear it unless it is completely quiet). It looks great in the kitchen and the lights add a pleasant effect at night. I highly recommend the product.
