First week or two the toast was perfect for me at the mid-range setting. Then the toast seemed to lighten a bit and didn't seem to be as evenly toasted, especially around the edges. Tried adjusting up to the next setting but it was too dark, so went back to the previous setting. That seemed to correct the toasting better to my liking but still don't have even toasting around the edges. But then again, I tried several other toasters (some almost twice the price) and none did as well so, overall, a pretty good toaster at a good price.

The toaster is well made with easy to use features. It has wide enough openings for bagels or thick bread for toasting but also allows for thinner slices to be toasted evenly. It is attractive enough to leave on the counter. The slide out tray makes for easy cleaning.

This is a reliable and easy to use toaster. It has a good appearance and design. My only disappointment at this time, after using it for several weeks, is that it does not toast both sides of bread the same. One side will be the desired, as indicated by the controls, brown-ness while the other is always under-toasted.

I used one of these at a B&B we stayed in and went home and ordered one to replace my old tired toaster. Great results every time on a variety of breads and thicknesses. I might have knocked off 1/2 of a star since the operation of the buttons is not totally intuitive. After consulting the manual all became clear however. (I just feel a product such as this should not even require a manual..but that is me.) Overall a great purchase!

Nice looking. Toasts better than some I’ve had. Plenty enough room for bagel thickness. Pretty uniform toasting. Two complaints: For bagels or English muffins the dial has to be set to the highest setting to get a decent toasting color and I like a compact toaster, size ok but too tall.

So far so good. I just got the toaster today. It's very nice to look at and it's the perfect size for me. It's the 2 slice. I've toasted a bagel and it turned out perfectly. The slots are oversized so there was no problem fitting it in. Because of some reviews I had read I toasted an old piece of bread first but there was no smoke to be seen although there was a slight smell. After the one piece of bread we done the smell is gone. At this point I'm very glad I decided on this toaster and being that it's made here in the United States is a big plus for me.

This is a great looking toaster, and it works... just not well. It has settings from 1 to 7, with half (e.g. setting 3.5) increments. Unfortunately, everything up until setting 5 is worthless. It will just add a bit of warmth to the bread. It is only at setting 5 that the bread will begin to slightly tan. On setting 6.5 the toast will be decently brown, but it will have an uneven pattern of light and dark areas.

I have a space in my kitchen for a toaster and when my previous toaster went bad... the search was on to find a new one that would not take more space than the previous one. Mission was successful! This toaster is great. the features are just what I need and it toasts bagels, toast and waffles perfectly. The dial is perfect for adjusting and the shiny top is pretty to look at. Over all great buy... plus it matches my other appliances.

We needed a basic toaster, and this fills the bill. Works exactly as it should. The crumb tray gets a workout, because we have "everything" bagel fans in house. Very clean looking, almost like the old chrome-plated toasters, except this one fits better on a shelf.

The toaster is beautiful, just as pictured. Cooking time selection for doneness is great to find your prefect shade of toast. Only suggestion for improvement is to make toast slice opening longer. Does not fit every size of bread, which means have to toast x2 to get both ends toasted.
