Peace of Mine

This is what we needed for complete peace of mind. Starts automatically (we don't have to be home), notifies us of status, and let's deal know if there are any issues so they can plan to service the unit (we don't need to figure it out and call them). Keeps our life simple and worry free.

Comforting to know we are prepared!

I had my unit was installed in April 2025 and it has been used 3 times during power outages so far. Knowing that we are protected and ready for in the event of a power loss is so comforting.

Outstanding reliability

My unit is 2 years old and has functioned during outages and twice a month exercising. It is reliable and provides a safety net for me during any kind of outage. The automatic transfer and start up/shut down make operation safe and reliable.

so far so good

have had it for a month and no complaints. hasn't kicked in yet since we haven't lost power. so will tell then. yes it's got some noise to it but you can still sit on the deck and talk if it actually has to run.

Right out of the box!!!

I had installed Apr 22 2026 bad control panel finally working properly May 20 2026 a lot of money for a product to need repair right out of box. Not sure about its quality guess we'll see

Doesn't run! Doesn't work

15 plus thousand dollars waste of money. Our contractor called the generac service tech at our home 04/17. Unable to reach the generac service tech after the contractor spent most of the day at our home trying to get the generac generator to run.

Paperweight at Best

Just purchased the 18kw cellular 15 October 2025 by a Generac dealer. Unfortunately my Propane company couldn't set the tanks until the next morning. The Generac dealer hooked up a 20lb tank to run me through the functionality of the generator. After the Propane company hooked up the tanks to the supply line to the generator, I performed a power outage to ensure there were no issues. The unit lost wifi connectivity. I attempted to reset, but it wouldn't connect. I contacted the dealer/installer and he attempted to connect to the generator. He couldn't, so he walked me through a hard reset. We did a hard reset and was able to Bluetooth connect with the generator and reestablish a wifi connection. On 26 October the generator had an internal fault and a 1505 error. Then it had a CANbus error. It also lost its WiFi connection. I attempted to reconnect it, but it wouldn't let me Bluetooth connect. I had to do a hard reset. I was able to reconnect the WiFi but as soon as I closed the app, it would disconnect from the WiFi. Attempted to reconnect again, same result. Tried again and the unit wouldn't reconnect via Bluetooth. Did another hard reset the next day and was able to reconnect the WiFi. An hour later it disconnected from the WiFi. Contacted the dealer/installer.He had me do a power outage to see if the unit would run. It didn't even though it is in Auto. He had me clear the faults by depressing the Off button for 15 seconds and attempt another power outage after placing it back in Auto. It did not run again. The unit did one exercise run-up on 25 October and has not done another one since even though it is in Auto. A lot of money for what I consider a paperweight and at a minimum a lemon. Waiting to hear back from the installer/dealer when he can come out to fix it. It's was only two weeks old with less than 15 minutes of run time.
