I returned the toaster within a week because it leaked crumbs from the bottom almost as if the removable tray wasn't there. The excessive visibility of fingerprints was another disappointment. The toasting function was acceptable, but it was overshadowed by the aforementioned flaws.

This GE toaster looks great and performs all the functions you would want in a toaster . I have used it for toasting bread, pop tarts, and waffles and they come out perfectly every time. The stainless steel is so much better than those made of plastic. Thanks GE for another great product!!!!

Weak "pop up" spring does not raise toast/bagel up enough to be safely removed without tongs. Cooks toast/bagels to perfection. The browning control knob is a superb feature. Allows precise control of toast/bagel browning. The frozen and bagel buttons are another excellent feature. You will love the toasting performance of this toaster. Just wish it had a stronger "pop up" spring.

This was purchased to replace my 25 year old GE toaster that still worked but could not handle a bagels. I am delighted with the function and appearance of my new toaster and it has won a spot on my counter top right beside my GE blender. My toast comes out perfect!

Compared to other toasters I ordered, this one felt more solid and well built. Everything was brand new with no blemishes. It was properly packed for shipping. The lever that lowers the food down works perfectly and my food heats up decently – I use it mostly to heat frozen waffles so the times where it came out concave taught me that I needed to increase the heat setting just a bit more. I also press the ‘frozen’ button. The food gently pops up when done and doesn’t fly out of the toaster like some other brands. I thought I would be missing out but having a digital toaster, but this does everything I need it to do.

First week or two the toast was perfect for me at the mid-range setting. Then the toast seemed to lighten a bit and didn't seem to be as evenly toasted, especially around the edges. Tried adjusting up to the next setting but it was too dark, so went back to the previous setting. That seemed to correct the toasting better to my liking but still don't have even toasting around the edges. But then again, I tried several other toasters (some almost twice the price) and none did as well so, overall, a pretty good toaster at a good price.

So far, so good. Only day one, but toasted perfect on setting 2. Lightweight toaster, great price. Didn't want anything fancy. This works well. Replaced a 4 slice toaster that was taking up too much space. This looks nice and is simple to use. No fancy electronics to break down.

Other reviewers toasters seem to do good toasting at different settings.Mine, however, doesn't actually toast with color at setting number 5. Seems odd in that it has 13 settings. #5 is the ninth setting; they have half numbers. But it does a good job of even toasting, even if two-thirds of the settings are useless unless one only wants warm bread. So I give a three as I regard it as average.

We really like the appearance and exterior quality, and it functions well with the exception of perhaps not all of the heating elements inside are working. There seems to be a slightly uneven result on the toast. We’re keeping it though. Better than the black plastic one we had.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The toaster not only looks nice on the counter, love the stainless steel, but it also not too big. Which on my counter is a big deal, not a ton of space. I like that it has a Bagel setting separate and I love that it has a FROZEN setting. This feature is cool, I can freeze, pull it out of the freezer and I am on my way! Great value!
