Toaster is OK. Toasts most bread evenly. A standard size piece of bread does not completely lower into the toasting area. Cord wrap on bottom of toaster is not convenient. Since the toaster is usually moved out from under upper cabinets when used, unwrapping and rewrapping the cord is a hassle. Better to not use the cord wrap at all.

Bought this toaster for it's bagel setting. It works well. Not worth a 5 star because it is very uneven on basic toasting (bagel or regular) setting. Bottom inch or so toasts considerably darker than the top. One side is about a half shade darker than the other.

I had an older version of this toaster that I broke, so when I saw this one I was thrilled and ordered it. I like it but it's not as good as my older version. The bottom 1" of the toast isn't quite are toasted as the rest of the toast. I'll keep it and enjoy my toast, just miss my older version.

I have a space in my kitchen for a toaster and when my previous toaster went bad... the search was on to find a new one that would not take more space than the previous one. Mission was successful! This toaster is great. the features are just what I need and it toasts bagels, toast and waffles perfectly. The dial is perfect for adjusting and the shiny top is pretty to look at. Over all great buy... plus it matches my other appliances.

Only toasts on highest settings. Adequate for our tastes, but it's a good thing we don't need it darker. My biggest concern is about half the elements don't heat up at all. If more of them go out it won't toast on ANY setting. GE used to have dependable products. Now you are just selling cheap outsourced trash! START MAKING PRODUCTS AGAIN IN THIS COUNTRY, EVEN IF YOU HAVE TO PAY YOUR WORKERS A LIVING WAGE!!!

Love the sleek design; long electrical cord; easy to read / adjust toast color with click knob; lightweight. Downfall the toast settings are irrelevant. Settings 1-7, why. Settings 1-5 do literally nothing. I keep setting my toast wheat and white @ 6.5, but toast doesn't toast evenly, so I have to put the toast back in at a lower setting to toast the other side of the toast. It used to be if you had 1 piece, you put it in a specific slot for a single slice. Not sure if that applies here as there is nothing on the manual regarding this. I just want the 1 or 2 slices to toast evenly on the first try.

I enjoy sourdough toast, and the toaster I've had for years simply wouldn't accept the slice size that's available to me. This arrived to day, and after the initial 'Burn-in" the instructions said to do, I popped a slice of sourdough in and it came out absolutely perfect. Looking forward to the quality I've always gotten from GE products!!

Been needing to get a new toaster for some time but since Covid have run into issues with major appliances, specifically freezers and I was seeing ALOT of bad reviews about small appliances so was leary of getting a bad one. Was buying a deep fryer and decided to go ahead and get the needed toaster as well. This GE toaster had the best reviews over all brands so took a chance. We have only used it for a couple of days, but so far it is doing great. I just hope it holds up as long as the last Toastmaster did, 10+ yrs!

We have a big family so it is constantly being used and some are more gentle than others when using it it helps that it is well made.
