I was a bit hesitant since I never owned an electric dryer. some said that it might take longer to dry clothes and uses tons of electricity. I did some research and found that the heat pump dryer was very efficient, and it did not need to be vented out. After using it, I was honestly surprised. It has several settings, including a 1-hour cycle like my old dryer. I gave that a try and it was enough to dry my clothes completely. Not sure if the heat pump tech is “better,” but I have no regrets—it dries just as fast as my old gas dryer The dryer itself has very clean and modern look. This has SmarThings, which is great and notifies me when it's done. The unit is more compact than expected, but hold seems to hold a good number of items. since its compact, I find it a bit low to reach items. i might stack them for easier access. overall, a good unit that fits my needs

It has a smaller footprint and aligns with my countertops. The capacity is a lot bigger than the footprint. It has temperature and dryness sensors so my cloths aren't cooking after they are dried. I really like using the SmartThings app which lets me send drying instructions to the dryer from my phone. The phone notifications for when drying finishes is also super convenient since I can't always hear the dryer from upstairs. Overall, I highly recommend this dryer!

I would add that is a very stylish machine as well. I have the matching washer and they look good in my laundry room. We went through a conversion to accommodate the electric dryer, and it was definitely worth it. To start, the size is wonderful. I never thought we'd have space in the closet. These units allow for that. We ordered the stacking kit and once stacked, we have room to add a shelf above the dryer. The washer holds 2.5-3 loads of clothes and is highly efficient. We've used every cycle programmed into the washer every one cleans the loads extremely well. You can connect the unit to the Samsung SmartThings App and customize loads if needed. The pre-programmed loads meet all of our needs. I would give it a 5/5, but the only downside is the drying time. Full disclosure, this may be because I'm used to a gas dryer. That said, a load of towels is taking two cycles to dry, and regular clothes take 1.5x's the selected cycle. Otherwise, I'm extremely pleased.
