Amazing Generator

I picked up my new Westinghouse generator today and got it all unpacked and setup. I am extremely impressed with the packaging, design, and ease of assembly. I will be using this as a home generator as we get power outages frequently in Utah. I own other Westinghouse generators and I am overly impressed with quality and reliability.

Runs House in Power Outage Without Gasoline

The generator arrived with everything shown on the Web page and started right away. I bought this model to power the house if needed and we can take it with us if we move. Being able to hook up to natural gas solved a concern I had about storing a large amount of gasoline or propane at the house. Great concept. Tested on propane and started right away.

Great generator with options

During hurricane beryl we had use of our old 5000kw gen. The only problem was getting gas. With your tri fuel I feel safer because if I can not gas I can use my natural gas line hook up. I did a test run when I got this and it powers up my whole house with a few bigger appliances not connected. This generator will serve my needs in the future. I am glad to have found this because of the multiple fuel options. I look forward to not having to worry when next power outages occur. Thank you, Jay Guinn

This is an awesome generator!

I am really happy with this tri fuel generator. Very well built and has many excellent features. Wish I would have bought this generator years ago. When there is a power outage gasoline is very hard to find. With the natural gas and propane option this is no longer a problem!

Very well built and great features.

I have been looking for a larger generator for Florida storm power outages and this 9500 fit the bill. I was impressed by the features and ease of assembly. This generator should easily handle my entire house with the exception of the large AC units. Very happy witht the purchase.

Wonderful support

We did not open the generator for several months after we bought it until we actually needed it. We had a small broken piece on the propane quick connect. Support answered the phone right away and was exceptionally helpful!! We are very pleased with our generator thus far!

Well Pleased

Living in Oklahoma we are no strangers to severe weather and using generators for everything from tornado's to ice storms. We bought this as an upgrade to our current generator which puts out 5000 Watts and only runs on gasoline. It’s heavy but it only took less than an hour from the delivery truck to assembled and running. The machine appears to be well put together and everything is well labeled, all control panel switches, generator output on all three fuels, fuel shut-off valve and choke. I checked operation using the local electric start button, the remote electric start fob and even started it with the manual start pull cord on both gasoline and propane. The only glitch was it took me a few attempts before I figured out the choke (I should have probably taken more than a cursory glance at the manual). I’m really pleased that it has a separate fuel shut-off valve. I like to shut gasoline motors off using the fuel shut-off valve when available. Doing this removes gas from the carburetor preventing any “varnish” or “gum” from forming or building up which can lead to problems down the road. The manual is well organized and covers all end-user aspects of the generator. All in all I think this was a good purchase even though I hope I don’t have to use it.

Great features. Definitely an upgrade.

After Hurricane Beryl, definitely needed something that can handle the job of powering a whole house. After doing the research, this definitely made the most sense both price and features wise. Feeling more confident the next time we have a power outage.

Easy Start, so far so good

Purchased the WGen9500TFc during Hurricane Beryl. Right as we purchased it the power was restored. Going through the break-in process now and it hardly flinches when I add a portable a/c to the load. I’m running the generator on NG, so I’m sacrificing a few ponies in order to avoid gas lines during an outages. It’s one of the items I hope I never have to use, but will be thankful for it if I do need it. So far no problems, but I only have a couple of hours on the generator currently.
