My wise choice

I made a good choice when I research coffee grinders and decided to purchase this one. It’s all it is said to be. I especially like the fine setting for expresso. With the mode selection for the grind, I have lots of choices. After trial and error, I have found the perfect setting. I recommend this product. It is well worth it. Oh and it’s extremely easy to clean.

Good overall but not a great coarse grind

Great solid product. However I purchased this strictly for a coarse grind for my cold brew. It does a decent job however I feel that the grind is not course enough and it produces a lot “grind dust” which I have to sift out to make my cold brew less gritty. In fact I get a better coarse grind and less dust doing a pulse grind using my ninja blender. Otherwise the product itself is pretty good aesthetically.

Very Loud! Inconsistent Grind!

This thing is loud! I mean like vacuum cleaner loud. It also gets very warm while grinding which is bad for coffee. Grounds hopper is messy because powder like grounds coat the inside even if you use a coarse grind. Do yourself a favor and spend a little more and get a ceramic burr grinder.

It's a good grinder but...

I like this grinder but I get a 65/35 mixture of the grind I have it set for and a super powdery grind that I don't. It also leaks a small amount of the powdery grind around the grinder durning grinding. Not bad but it does. Besides these 2 things this grinder is an absolute animal. It's super easy to fill and easy to get your grinds out of. If the grinds were more consistent I'd give it 5 stars. As it is, I'll give it an honest 4. Is it worth buying? Yes!

Not Satisfied with the Coffee Grinder

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this because I have a family member who lives in Hawaii who sends me Kona whole bean coffee. I wanted to replace my then current grinder with something better.I trusted Cuisinart as a reputable company. I researched different types and a burr grinder received good ratings, I’ve been using it about a month now and must say that I am not pleased with the grinder. First, the grinds Often come out “lumpy.“ Second, the grinding mechanism does not appear to be well designed because I frequently have coffee being particles all over the counter after grinding beans. Third, the cord is not fastened where it comes out from under underneath the unit. Often times, the unit is off kilter because the cord is not in the small hole that Cuisinart provides for the cord. Instead, it is underneath the housing and is not level. I’m disappointed in the grinder and wish I had purchased another.

Huge disappointment.

We bought this a couple of weeks ago. Very dissatisfied. The design is poor: the cup selection bar only increases by increments of 2. The bar mechanism itself is cheap. The square shape of the basin to capture the grounds is not compatible with the round filter in your coffee maker. The basin leaves a mess when you pull it from the platform. The lip on the basin to make it easier to open captures grounds that leave another mess when opened. The grinder does not work as efficiently as the older model so you’re never sure how many cups has ground. My older Cuisinart grinder was so accurate that I didnt need to use the measuring spoon. Couldn’t return it because I ordered from you over the phone and lost the order number and the confirmation on the back of the registration email wasn’t enough. Went to a brick and mortar store to buy a different brand.

Grind and product quality.

Very good product. However, very loud when operating. There seems to have been no attempt to protect users from the very problematic sound emitted while operating. Overall, performs very well -consistent grind quality and I am satisfied with how it handles different types of beans and roasts.

Grinds well, harder to clean

Grinds well and consistently. Not as useful for single cups. I use a French Press and this grinder bounces the last couple of beans around quite a bit before grinding. Also, the static on the plastic container makes it difficult to empty the last bit of grounds from it.

Best Cup of Coffee you’ve ever had guaranteed

This is my second Cuisinart grinder. This one is slightly smaller which is a great fit for a smaller sized kitchen to avoid a cluttered look. It holds plenty of beans so that’s not an issue. The best part is I use a French Press with all my coffee stations and this unit allows me to select how many cups I want and the type of grind (how ground of the coffee beans are) I prefer. For me it’s a 4 cup setting with a 15 grind. For those that don’t know what that is visualize a circular glass beaker with 33 ounces of hot water blended with coffee grinds with a literal screen press to separate the grinds from the coffee. Best coffee you’ll ever drink. If you want auto drip for for a traditional coffee pot or K Cups, no problem it has auto drip settings. And if you’re into Expresso, there is a setting for that too. I drink all 3 types. I rarely have grinds seep out of my any of the settings. Beans do grind a little differently so exact settings for your prefect cup of coffee make this an invaluable machine for your best coffee experience. And no I’m not a paid products review writer, I just love love love a good cup or two well maybe three cups so I get pretty excited about my coffee.

Great machine, but lots of static.

We bought this machine from Bed Bath & Beyond in December 2018 just before Christmas. I use the machine just about every day to grind espresso coffee for my espresso maker. I really like the machine it's easy to use but I can't stand the amount of static that builds up in the plastic holding container for the grounds. I really wish there was some way to stop this from happening, if this could be done I think it would be a great machine. I think there needs to be a locking mechanism in the hopper so that when you're ready to change the beans out you don't have beans falling out everywhere.
