Have used this mill for about three months now. It is the first burr mill we’ve used, all the others have been blade mills. We bought it specifically to course grind for a French press. It is compact and doesn’t take up a lot of room on the counter. The large hopper holds a good quantity of beans and the method of selecting your desired grind is easy. I’m disappointed in the amount of fine grind (powder) it creates even though the grind is set to “course.” When used in a French press, that residue ends up at the bottom of your cup, all the time, every time. In hindsight, I wish I would have stayed with the blade mill for course grinding. No residue. For fine grinds to be used in a drip coffee maker with a filter, this mill works fine. The basket for collecting the ground coffee is clear plastic but the ground coffee obviously has oils in it and the finer grinds stick to the sides and lid of the basket. Not sure whether a different material, i.e. stainless steel, for the container would make a difference. Our blade mill had a stainless basket with no sticking. I’ll likely continue to use the blade mill for course ground coffee going forward and use this burr mill for fine grinds.

The grind is great on this and the storage capacity is perfect for our needs. Very intuitive and easy to use. Unfortunately the canister the ground coffee comes out into has a major issue with static electricity, which makes it impossible to get the coffee *out* without it flying all over the place and making a huge mess. I'm going to try rubbing it down with silk to see if I can remove the charge. Meanwhile I only remove the coffee by dumping it out the hole in the canister. That at least minimizes the mess!

Yhis is the second burr grinder that I have owned and it has been a good investment. What I like the most about the second one is that it has a smaller footprint on the countertop and it is quiet than the other another thing that I like about the grinder is that it has the different settings for the coarseness of the grind I tend to like my coffee stronger so even though it's only three people drinking we have the setting eight cups and it's a great cup of coffee consistent and flavor consistent in taste consistent in the ride of the beans which attend like for gold coffee and the look grind and feel of the grinder is great I like the hopper it's big enough to hold all of the beans and I can get probably three or four days maybe up to a week depending on how many parts of coffee that we do for our pour over it's just a great overall product.

I owned one of these for several years and used it every day. While I enjoyed its performance, the noise level was ridiculously unpleasant. This new model is greatly improved. It doesn’t grind quite as thoroughly as the other one did it always leaves a few beans in the bottom unlike the previous model, but it’s a small price to pay for the dramatic improvement in, the decibels

Received this as a gift. It's slightly better than those little "whirly" grinders.The grind size selector seems to be irrelevant as there is no discernible difference between the fine and coarse settings. Also the little container that the ground coffee is deposited into is made of plastic and much of the ground coffee clings to it due to static electricity. getting all of the coffee out of that chamber can be pretty messy.

Honestly the beans were never ground consistently. You would have powder mixed with large grounds making a bitter yet sour coffee. And the static was horrible! Couldn't get all the grounds out unless you beat it like (insert example here). Don't buy this, just stick with ground or spend the hundred on something that will actually be consistent.

This was a great product but most recent versions are made of lighter weight materials. I am on number 3 now after sending 2 back because of motor/failure to grind/slow to grind issues. Mainly seems to be present after using the finely grind setting over the course of a few weeks it will start seizing up. I know i need to clean the machine but the port exit hole is small and should be larger. Keep an eye out on a full hole will eventually clog it up. I use dark coffee beans finely ground for strong coffee. At first no problem. Grind away but be aware a clogged hole will destroy the weak and fragile motor.

I’m very confused by the design of this grinder. While grinding coffee beans, it gets EVERYWHERE. I don’t know if we’re missing a piece or what is happening, but there is a significant gap where the container that catches the coffee grinds is. Most of the grinds come flying out and everywhere and is very wasteful. I am not impressed with it at all and honestly pretty disappointed. I was super excited when we got it.

I loved it when I first bought it. I only used it 4 times and then it quit grinding. I don't know if the motor burned out because it doesn't make a sound. I've been through 3 of Cuisinarts Grind & Brew Coffee Makers, they didn't last long either. So I'm done with ever buying anything Cuisinart. My opinion is their products look nice, but are way over priced for the lack of quality they provide, then they break.

My son bought this grinder for me several years ago. It's identical to one he had been using for some time. I use it for a French Press so I use a coarse grind and for that it does OK. However for some reason the marks on the grinder that tell you how coarse or fine the grind is all rubbed off somehow even though I really don't clean it. They just disappeared so you sort of just have to guess where the settings are. Recently I've had problems with it not grinding at all. At first I thought it may be that a bean just got stuck somewhere and dumping out all the beans and dislodging any that seemed stuck seemed to fix it. But it continued to happen. The motor tried to work if you held the button down but it wouldn't grind normally. So I started cleaning it out the best I could as the manual mentioned that if you run into this that may be the problem so I did and I was able. to get it grinding again. But this has continued to happen. Unfortunately there is no way to take it apart and do a thorough cleaning, you mostly have to use the brush and do the best you can to dislodge debris and hope it works. The last couple of days it's seized up again and no amount of cleaning has been able to get it running again. The only thing I can surmise is that the internal mechanism has been clogged with coffee debris and can't be dislodged since it's in a place you can't get to in order to clean it. So if you buy this grinder I think you'll be happy with it but know it's got what I consider to be a design flaw which makes it last only 3 or 4 years.
