Vacuum motor

Grind is ok. not accurate on the setting, measured 7 tbsp when it should have ground 8 tbsp. Now onto the decibels this thing puts out. My cat hates the vacuum, and runs away every time it’s turned on. When I grind my coffee in the morning, the cat runs away!

So far So good

A dear friend gave me a great tip! There is no need to struggle with the lid and scoop of the grinds container. The same rectangular hole that fills the container is also THE best way to empty your grounds into your French press or drip coffee filter.

Greatest appliance ever+

This Burr mill grinder is fantastic. Love that you can fill it with beans, which means you don't have to drag out the bag every day. Set the grind that you prefer. Set how many cups that you want to brew, and it does it all. Just remove the grind container and fill your coffee maker. No measuring, perfect grind, perfect amount.

Good coffee, loud and messy process.

The good - coffee is ground very well, improving the flavor of the brewed coffee. The downsides - the process is very loud! And messy - the mechanics of removing the ground coffee container requires a bit of force, which in turn causes grounds to spill around the area. Removing the lid to pour ground coffee into the brewer adds to the mess, and there is a consistent "clump" of grounds that stick to the top part of the container - perhaps from how the grounds are shot from the burr process - adds yet another opportunity for mess.

Burr coffee grinder

Just have it for a month and so far so good. Good machine for the price. The only thing is this machine doesn’t give fine ground coffee for expresso compare to the Krups I had before. I turn all the way to the finest selector and it’s still coarser than other than that it’s a solid machine.

Not what I expect from Cuisinart

I bought this coffee grinder to take the place of one I had for about four years. It is the same style and brand but the unit doesn't work nearly as well something has been downgraded from the previous model as this one doesn't grind as well on other settings except just below the mid grind and the grinder doesn't measure the correct amount of beans for any of the settings.I have to set the grinder on the 18 cup setting to get enough ground coffee for a 12 cup pot of water and even then it is weaker than I like. The grinder struggles on the finer setting and I'm not wanting a course grind so It doesn't function well enough to suit me. This is the second replacement, the first one I thought it was just a glitch of getting a poorly made grinder so I exchanged it for the one I presently have and it works just as bad. I chose this because the first unit I bought several years ago performed well and functioned on any setting I used and I trusted the brand, but I'll not count on that again for the next one.

Excellent Grinder

I had one of these for several years of daily coffee bean grinding. It performed well and I enjoyed being able to adjust grinds as to quantity produced as well as fineness of grind, as we often have house guests who enjoy coffee and my practice is only to grind enough for my individual needs each morning. I do not make a full pot of coffee every day, just enough for my personal use (one large mug). In any case the original unit failed after many years. There was no decision: buy a replacement of the same brand and type. Fortunately, the current model is the same as the original one. My desire to get the same grinder speaks for itself. I am looking forward to many more years of good grinding.

Good grinder and fair price

This is a good grinder, and I should preface my review by saying this is my first burr grinder, having used only blade grinders before. The range of ground fineness is great, and when it's clean it does a great job. I wish that surfaces were not so prone to static adherence of the grounds: it is a bit messier than I had hoped, and it needs weekly cleaning out of the exit chute. I would have paid a bit more for a ground hopper that would not have static issues (e.g., metal).

dust. slider vs. cups. overall, good value.

Coffee ground output is dusty, which makes for problems when brewing. Also makes for problems when transferring the grounds to the filter. Also, the slider quantity is a little on the light side vs the # of cups of coffee made. For example, the slider should be at 6 (or more) for 4 cups brewed. That said, it's very convenient to be able to store a lot of beans in there and adjust the slider for the # cups being brewed. One will likely have to adjust the setting for machine / technique / preference anyway, so having a reference point is very nice.

Awesome!

I bought this item after seeing it at my sons house and I’m so glad I did. It wonderful to have fresh tasting coffee every morning without haveing to drag out the grinder. It doesn’t take up much space and looks neat on the counter. I love the features! You will not regret buying this item!
