This coffee mill allows you to easily pick your grind. Not just 3 options, but fine, medium, course and everything in between. The bin is large and can hold a lot of beans which allows us to store beans in the bin and grinds a cup or pot at a time, so the coffee is always fresh. It also looks great on your countertop.

I was excited to finally add a burr grinder to my morning coffee routine. The DBM-8 seemed to be a good choice: good features and a great price, but as they say, “you get what you pay for.” The unit works well, my disappointment comes from the “undocumented feature” of the fine dust created by the static electricity from the grinding. The grind is great (from a fine expresso to a course for my French press) but the grind chamber has so much static they don’t come out cleanly and I end up with a fine dust all over my counter. Not recommended.

A good size for my counter space, and matches my Cuisinart Coffeemaker. It's a bit noisier than I expected, as it's advertised as being quieter than some others. It grinds the correct amount of coffee for our 12-cup coffeemaker. The only issue is static electricity - coffee flying out of the container after being ground - and it's awkward to clean the base.

it works well and i can get a consistent grind, however, it is extremely difficult to clean. with no way to remove the burr inside of the machine, i have to spend around an hour each time i grind beans trying to scrape as much as i can out, and i usually end up giving up and settling even though it’s not clean. little nooks and crannies deep in the machine makes it impossible to fully clean

I drink regular coffee and don't make espresso at home so this coffee grinder meets my needs just fine. I love that it stores a good amount of beans so I can just hit the button to grind when I get up in the morning. The only big gripe I have about the grinder is the grounds bin as it is made of plastic and has bad static which causes lots of grounds to stick to the inside of it.

It grinds. Well. The multiple settings work fantastic, especially since I like to use a French press (course setting) as well as an automatic drip machine (medium setting). But it creates a mess every time that use it. Just opening the grinder "basket" sends bean dust flying around my counters. And I am careful. I guess it's just the nature of the product and there is no real way around it.

I purchased this burr mill to grind coffee for espresso. Even on the finest setting, it does not seem to grind the beans fine enough. I switched bean brands and achieved better results but still not the powder I am looking for to match that from my local coffee shop.

About 3 or 4 years ago my step dad picked one of these up for me since I enjoy freshly ground coffee beans so from personal experience I already knew that this was going to make a great gift. My parents have just recently started exploring the idea of keeping whole bean coffee on hand but have this little electric coffee grinder. It works for a single person but if you have two or more people in a house hold not so much. So as you can imagine my step Dada face lit up like a Christmas tree when he saw this was his Christmas gift. Well worth every penny.

Have had it for several months now and in general it has worked fine and I am please. Two things I would like improvement on are more settings for the amount of to coffee to grind - ie the "cups" slider setting - and the opening where the ground coffee enters the lower container will get "jammed" occasionally and prevent the coffee from falling into the container, backs up the beans and prevents further grinding until you shut it off and clean out the opening.
