This is a flat plate burr grinder. It replaces the old Cuisinart grinder I have owned for a few years but died when the power switch failed. The grinder is not a conical burr grinder but is nontheless is a good grinder that does the job. My only complaint so far is that is is even noisier than the previous model which makes it very noisy indeed.

It’s a bit messy. When you pull out the grounds container, coffee dust is not contained in the box and it’s messy. The container does not allow to pour directly into the coffee filter and is messy again. I love that it holds grinds and we can customize coarseness and cups to grind. I was so excited for this product and with a little redesign, it would be the best device ever!!

Just like fresh ground pepper has better taste for food, fresh ground coffee beans have better taste for coffee. Every morning I hit the button for the perfect grind and the perfect amount for my coffee. Now I am trying different brands of coffee beans for different flavors. The "problem" is, so far I love them all. Do yourself a favor and get this coffee bean grinder.

I got this to grind whole coffee beans to make cold brew coffee. The description on the site didn’t specifically say that this grinder had a setting appropriate for this, but a reviewer did mention it being able to grind coarsely enough. The largest grind setting is perfect for cold brew. I’ve been really pleased with the results. One note: Never forget to replace the lid on the cup that holds the ground coffee! You’ll be cleaning up ground coffee up to 2 feet away.

The coffee grinder does a good job of grinding so far, but when I first got it, I noticed the sound of something plastic falling around inside of it. It is also quite noisy. I have concerns for its durability as it seems to be mostly cheap Chinese plastic. The container that the ground coffee is expelled into has a problem with static and the coffee clings to the sides of it. Maybe one day they'll start making things here in the states again, and maybe they'll even make them to last.

I've had inexpensive coffee grinders in the past but they never last. So I sought out a higher end product which Cuisinart has reputation of high quality products. I bought this in hopes of having something that could be long-lasting and also give me great tasting coffee because, as we all know, there's nothing like fresh ground coffee! This is easy to use, is smaller and streamlined. It does have a little bits of coffee grinds that can make a mess, but it's not a huge deal. I just keep my hand over the hole in the back of the bin that collects the ground coffee and then I tap it on the counter to get all the loose coffee grinds to the bottom of the container. And then I don't have too much spillage. It does make different grinds for pourover, french press or to make a normal pot. I mean it has so many variables in grind. I do not find it to be overly loud when i use it. You can grind as much or as little as you need. So far i am very pleased!!

This was advertised as one of the quietest burr grinders available. It is not quiet, it’s VERY noisy! It is also advertised as making a uniform grind. It’s not real uniform, I have it set for a medium grind, I get mostly medium but some is very fine grind.

This was a replacement for our previous Cuisinart grinder which gave many years of service. The only issue with this grinder is that it seems reticent to properly feed oily beans to the grinder. We use Costco brand medium roast and the beans are very dark and oily and seem to stick to the sides unless I encourage them down the shut by hand. I'm sure that eventually as a coating accumulates on the sides of the hopper the beans will begin to feed normally, the grind itself is quite nice but figuring out the correct setting has been an issue because of the feed problem

I just made the switch from buying primarily pre-ground coffee. I have another grinder, and it's okay, but not great, not very convenient. This is super-convenient. Plus, it's a burr mill which has advantages over other types, and you can google about the differences. I bought this one because of good recommendations, and it was quality without breaking the bank. I am happy about my choice.

I replaced two other grinders that cost less but did not last very long with the Cuisinart grinder. I have been very pleased with the quality and operation of this grinder thus far. It is relatively easy to use and clean and appears to be of superior durability.
