I know this sounds silly, but this is a beautiful coffee grinder. I keep it displayed on my countertop instead of away in the cupboard since it is so high end looking and just very attractive. It clears up cabinet room for other things :) HIGHLY IMPRESSED! MADE VERY WELL !

We recently switched from an hand operated electric grinder and are happy to have the burr grinder seeing as how it is button operated. Also, having the top-mounted receptacle is nice so we don't have to load beans every day. Just be aware; the cup settings use way too many beans. So for example, we brew 12 cups of coffee every morning and if you use the 12 cup selection to grind beans, you will end up with coffee stew. Way too potent! Like 12 cups of espresso. We ended up using the 6 cup grind setting. One item we find annoying is the extremely loud and high pitch of the grinder during operation. It about knocks out your ear drums. Stand back a minimum of 25 feet and you should be fine. The other annoyance, (and we read it during reviews before purchasing) is the static that builds up in the ground coffee receptacle. Make sure you empty it into your brew basket over the kitchen sink, or you'll have coffee grounds spread all over your counter and your toes. We have never figured out a remedy to this static issue.

This is our second grinder. It is a replacement of the first. We had our first for about ten years before it quit. Upon its dying I took it apart to try and revive it, only to find about a pound of ground coffee inside that made it die. As stated above this is a replacement and hope that it will last as long as the other but something in the design lets ground coffee into the motor housing

I did a lot of research on Burr grinders before I decided on this Cuisinart. It is so easy to use, it's automatic grinding so I don't have to figure out how long to grind the beans for the proper consistency, AND there's absolute no mess. I LOVE IT and I'm glad I took the time to do my research and read all the reviews. THIS IS THE BEST ONE! And coincidentally it is the same brand as my Cuisinart coffee maker. I'm in coffee heaven. If it matters, this is not a particularly quiet grinder but I've never found any grinder that is quiet - blade or burr.

I love this. Like others have mentioned, it is noisy. There is also the static issue as others have also mentioned. I take the unit over by the sink, bang the grinds off of the walls of the grind container and pull it off. This way the grinds that do "fly around, " fall into the sink. I like the finest grind so it does get a little airborne from the static. Not a complaint from me, just a fact.

Still experimenting with different beans and grinds so no 5-star rating yet but on track to get a perfect 5. This burr mill does the job very well; easy to use and easy to clean. Haven't been disappointed yet and I can recommend this coffee mill as a good value.

I love this CuisanArt automatic burr grinder; I buy whole bean coffee and I grind and store in airtight containers to last about 3-4 days. This grinder is so fast compared to my old grinder, and easy to clean. After grinding, you unwind the top with lid counter clockwise until you can easily lift off to clean. Looks nice on the counter and not too large for my tiny kitchen. Plus the cord can be wound on the bottom of the unit out of site.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was very disappointed with this grinder. I have an older grinder and while it worked the grind chamber fell apart and was very pricey to replace. The new machine didn’t adjust the size of the grind. And I had to set it to twice as many cups just the get the right amount of grinds. Needless to say it was returned. I bit the bullet and ordered a new chamber for my old machine.

I've had a "traditional" coffee grinder for years now. I wanted to up my home brew game and purchased this along with an espresso machine. Move over Starbucks, because I now make the best coffee and espresso in town. This little guy is loud (as are all grinders) but it works super well. I love that I can keep beans in the top if I want. I love that I can select the grind (especially now that I own a french press, drip, and espresso machine, I love options)! And it also takes the guesswork out of how many beans to add. I've only had it a few weeks but so far I find it very easy to keep clean. Only things I'd change - add a little cap to the container where the ground coffee goes - I'd love to just store it in there without transferring it to another container. Make it a little easier to unscrew the top - it doesn't fit on the shelves in my cabinet unless I take the top off. Other than that, it's perfect.

I bought this last month and have only used it a few times, but so far, so good. I like that you can select the number of cups and it grinds the right amount. It has a much coarser grind than the burr grinder built into my Kenmore Elite Grind and Brew which is nice. I bought this grinder so that I can grind darker and oilier beans than my Kenmore can handle and it worked perfectly for that. I haven't noticed a flavor difference though when comparing beans I can grind with both machines. Will have to experiment more. Also I haven't used it enough yet to know if it will hold up well over time. It does look great on the counter!
