The only drawback is the ingredients it contains sugar and brown sugar syrup. The added sugar is not needed to sweeten this cereal up that much especially since 1 cup has 9g of sugar. I know myself that I have more than 1 cup of cereal so that's more than 9g of sugar. If there's brown sugar syrup then there should be no need for sugar to be added as well. We're in a day and age where foods contain so many added sugars and ingredients but more people are looking for healthier options. This cereal has minimal ingredients but adds unnecessary sugars.

It isn't super sweet like many of the other cereals out there, it just has a light sweetness to it. I made mine with whole milk and the milk becomes really yummy after the cereal has been sitting in there for a bit and imparts some of that sweetness into it. The flakes have a really nice crunch to them too, and even when it gets a little soggy with the milk it still has a bit of crunch left which is very pleasant overall. Those little bits of raisins provide a nice textural contrast to the flakes as well. Considering the amount of fiber you get in there, which is always good since not enough of us get enough fiber every day, I think this is a great option for breakfast and I'd highly recommend it.

I have eaten this for the last 2 yrs. Every other day. I have always enjoyed, it's fresh and raisins are tender. Lately the raisins are hard, some are like rocks and I would like to know why? I keep buying, thought it might Be the dates but that's not it.

You can add other fruits, but l like eating my cereal the way it is. The grain has a nice crunch. If you leave your cereal soaking in the milk for to long, it will get soggy. But even then, it's still good. This isn't only a breakfast cereal, you can have this cereal any time of the day.

The big crispy toasted bran flakes are sturdy enough to hold up the milk for a bit while a generous scattering of raisins deliver little burst of chewy grape goodness in every spoon. Is high in fiber with just 190 calories in one cup and 5g of protein. This cereal is timeless, dependable and those raisins keep me coming back. My kid also loves the combination of crunchy flakes with sweet chewy raisins. It's a hit breakfast in our house!
