I live in the south and we have a ton of small flies and insects, especially in the summer. Now that it’s getting hot out the flies are making an appearance. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] i was pleasantly surprised by the stem flying insects fan trap. i gave it a go in a few different spots around the house and here’s what i found: setup: i’m all about easy, and this didn’t disappoint. plug it in, turn it on, and you’re good to go. the UV light is pretty subtle, so it doesn’t mess with the vibe of the room, which i liked. efficacy: this thing definitely gets the job done. it quietly lures those annoying flies in (especially around food or trash), and the fan traps them right in. within a couple of days, i was already seeing the little buggers on the refill cartridge, which felt oddly satisfying. refill process: honestly, it couldn’t be easier. pop off the cartridge, dispose of the bugs, and replace it. no mess, no stress. it’s so simple to clean that i didn’t mind dealing with it at all. overall, this little fan trap is great for keeping things lowkey without the harsh chemicals. it’s not going to completely wipe out a major infestation, but if you’ve got a couple of flies hanging around, this thing is super effective. it’s honestly one of those products that quietly does its job without you even realizing how much you needed it until you see the results.

The STEM Flying Insect Fan Trap seems to be working well in my dining room. I have seen a lot less insects in my room. It is really easy to setup and changing out the glue trap is also simple. This device is also lightweight and doesn’t take up much space. I like that it does not have insecticide and is safe to have around kids and pets. It did take almost a day to catch one bug. I feel like this works best at night time and it is not going to give you miraculous results. It works slowly, so say if you have a mosquito problem, I think it is going to take some time to catch them. It is not going to be instant. I feel like the fan could definitely be stronger, but it is also does not make that much noise so that’s good. I do not think I would actually buy this for the current price, for this price I would expect something that works a little quicker and better.

I love that the glue traps are hidden in the body of the fan and you aren’t just staring at dead bugs all the time. The fan and light are really nice features. I also love that there are timer options so it doesn’t have to stay on 24/7. A little bummed it doesn’t have a normal cord and plug bc I feel like I have a million usb cords and blocks floating around already. Overall a really nice option for indoor pest control.

The insects will be sucked down to the bottom so out of sight, and out of mind onto the glue trap inserted at the bottom of the canister. This is an absolute brilliant find! I love the fact you can use the adjustable fan, which is super quiet, to draw the flies in. The timer is added bonus on this fan trap. It isn't too bright, even when left on overnight, so it isn't interrupting the household. It is compact enough you can put it anywhere, and it does exactly what it is supposed to do. I can't wait to get another two or three for the summer months when kids leave doors open and we have all kinds of flying bugs in Texas.
