All you have to do is put the glue trap in the base, plug it in and turn it on. You can choose low or high for the fan,which makes no noise,then use the timer function if wanted. The best feature is the bugs end up at the base so you can't see them unless you open it!

The kids run in and out ! And backyard bbqs and picnic’s ! Along with the fun and food ,Is nasty flies,mosquitoes and all the other bugs. I was recently introduced to this ! And I’m happy! It is The @Stem flying insects fan ! Small around the size of about 10”x5”w (guestimate) cylinder shaped, you open stick in the stick pad, plug in, turn on the timer and go . It attracts flying insects and does the work! I haven’t used my swatted 1x since! And I am happy ! I absolutely had to buy 1 for each bathroom and hid 1 in the bedroom . I don’t have to use the nasty strips around anymore either. I definitely have 1 in the kitchen. I have not seen gnats or flies around anywhere anymore. It is easy for my to take outside as well. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The size of this was actually surprised to me! It is relatively small so does not take up a lot of room! It is very quiet and definitely did not bother me at night. One of the fan speeds (the slower one weirdly) made a louder noise but the faster one was very quiet. The light is purple which is interesting I'm not sure if it actually helps attract bugs. It also comes with 5 glue traps which is nice! I don't love the process of cleaning it out but it does work well!

I like the concept, feeling so so on the actual execution because you have to find a good surface for this to be on and just personally, I feel weird about having insects purposely for towards this.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was excited to see how this fan trap worked and I must say Im impressed. I love that its small and portable for easy storing and carrying. I placed the fan trap in my kitchen between the sink and my trash can and let it run for 3 hours. I caught what looked to be some fruit flies. It was really cool. Can’t wait to use it again after I’ve hosted an event at my house because people tend to go in and out of the house giving access to random flies every so often.

It’s very quiet, we currently have it running continuously, but I do like the options of timers as well. I plan on putting it away when not needed since it larger than a plug in. I may start using it when we do outdoor activities.
