This is my third Sonicare Toothbrush over the last twenty or so years and it is my favorite. There is an App that tracks my usage and provides a visual map of where I should be brushing. Since I am a long-time Sonicare Toothbrush user I set my, I set my brush for the highest intensity and selected clean & gums for my brushing routine. The app shows six sections of the mouth, i.e., top right, top front, top left, bottom left, bottom front, and bottom right. As I brush a banner turns blue to indicate the section that has been brushed. When brushing is complete, the brush automatically goes into gum mode which is a slower with a lighter intensity. The banner turns blue as you guide the brush along the gum line for each section. The brush also monitors the pressure you are applying to your teeth and gums. If you are pressing too hard, the bottom of the toothbrush lights up alerting you to lighten your grip. Too much pressure can damage the enamel and gum tissue. The app not only tracks the daily brushing but it asks you to indicate how many times you flossed, cleaned the tongue, and rinsed with mouthwash for a minute. It really motivates you to brush daily and for the entire time. The app also keeps track of the number of times you have used the brush so it can alert you in three months when it is time to replace the brush head.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received the new Philips Sonicare for free as part of a product test. It is slimmer and more compact than my old Sonicare 9500. It has all the same features, but in a lighter handle body. I've used all the settings on the brush and they work well. I use GUM HEALTH in the morning when I don't have time to floss and CLEAN in the evening. The travel case is much smaller than the 9500's case which makes it easier to travel. I took away a star, however, because (i) the travel case isn't USB-C and requires a custom plug and (ii) the base charger is old school USB.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] A light weight, functional, and effective electric toothbrush from Sonicare. It has 4 different brush modes: clean, sensitive, white, and gum health. Depending on which setting you choose, the brush times can be different. I used gum health and it was 3 minutes and 20 seconds. Clean was 2 minutes. There are 3 different intensity levels that you can cycle through. The brushheads have a sensor and will alert you to when you need to replace it. The app is functional but has some quirks. If you turn it on before opening the app, it won’t work. You have to place it on the stand before turning it on for the app to work. If you stop using it before the timer ends, you have 10 seconds before it stops or ends. You get the motivation of “Keep brushing.” It would have be nice to have some type of animation or celebration, when you finish brushing, continuous using it or a have a brushing streak. It doesn’t tell you which quadrant it’s in, how hard/soft you are brushing. Or at least it’s not apparent from using it in real-time. But you can see some data of your brushing events in the app. It comes with a small minimalist stand and carrying case. You can charge the toothbrush through the carrying case, which was nice. The charging cord is a standard USB plug not USB-C, which would have been better since it’s been the new standard for several years already. Overall, it’s a great Sonicare toothbrush that meets my expectations. But with more refinement through the app’s user interface and how use you can use the data to be more efficient, it would have been even better.

I literally feel like I just left the dentist after a cleaning. My spouse and I have also tried the main competition and have not liked them. I would highly recommend this Sonicare toothbrush.

It's fairly good at reaching those back corners, but too small to get a good brush on the tongue. It's also a little annoying because it stops working randomly for blips and its frustrating to get in a good rhythm and have it pause and halt brushing momentarily. I'd rather use my manual toothbrush.

Like the pressure sensor to make sure that you aren’t brushing too hard. Great battery life. Love the timer that lets you know when to brush in a different area and when your time is up. The app is great too.

I took 2 stars off because the app is less desirable. It's a glorified timer. There are tips and videos, but you really only look at them once. My problem with the app is that I don't always take my phone with me when I brush my teeth, but it forces me to, which makes me go back into the other room to get it when I forget.

I have never used one like the Sonicare 7100 though. I love the app that you can use to track your brushing. The timer is perfect and it literally stops when the time is up. The brush is pretty powerful which I love. My teeth feel clean after brushing. The timer also has the feature if you brush to hard it will show you. It comes with a travel case which is awesome. I definitely would recommend this toothbrush! I love it! I know that investing in a toothbrush is well worth the results!

Set it up on your phone was simple I feel like it gets my teeth cleaner than manually doing it I had to get use to the vibrating of the toothbrush wich wasn't too bad love that it has different settings and it has made me feel like I got my teeth cleaner a must try at least once will be buying this in the future

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] There are many things i like about the 7100, such as how it lets me know if i am applying too much pressure, the pacing, comfortable to hold, all the different programs and settings. my only concern is that the low battery indicator came on about 5 days after a full charge.
