The GE Profile indoor smoker cooks really well with the included temperature probe. It's nice looking and doesn't take up much counter space considering how much you can cook in it. Instructions are good and comes with a recipe book. A good amount of heat and food cooking smell comes from under the front door, just like an oven, so you need to crack a window and turn on the kitchen/stove fan. I had an outdoor electric smoker years ago and this has been a wonderful replacement. More convenient and easier to keep clean than the outdoor smoker.

I went a little overboard when it arrived and in the first few days I smoked turkey breast, brisket, and a brined pork belly for bacon. All of them turned out extremely well, the product is incredibly easy to use, and I actually got better bark on my brisket than I’ve gotten on some attempts on an outdoor smoker! It’s not too bad to clean either, which is important for me.

This is a very cool little smoker. I should emphasize that it is internally very small but externally rather large for an appliance. Please also keep in mind that it is quite heavy and not easy to use if you aren't very strong. I was rather pleased with the cooking performance as it was at least comparable to a real smoker. It definitely doesn't replace the real thing but gets very close. The technology it has is very good though. I also love it's app connectivity and control.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently had the pleasure of diving into the world of indoor smoking with the GE Profile Indoor Smoker.  The convenience of smoking meat indoors with a plug-in appliance is huge to me, but I was a bit skeptical about how well it would actually smoke meat and how well it would filter the smoke.  So far, I've been super impressed with the results! I was really impressed by the build quality of this appliance - It feels solid and its sleek and modern design is very attractive.  Unpacking and assembly was very simple, basically just install the racks and drip pan, then plug it in.  It comes with an app that I thought was going to be a gimmick, but it turned out to be incredibly convenient for remotely monitoring temperatures from my phone.  The remote temperature monitoring and convenience of smoking without going outside are total game-changers! I tested it out by smoking some St. Louis-style ribs, and the results were nothing short of spectacular!  I prepped the ribs with a dry rub the night before to allow the flavors to meld. The next day, I loaded the smoker with hickory wood pellets, set the temperature to a moderate 225°F, and let the magic happen.  I bumped the temperature up to 350 for the last 30 minutes to crisp them up.  I was very happy with the ribs:  They had a deep smoky flavor, a nice crispy exterior, and retained a tender and juicy interior.  Clean-up was a simple wipe down and washing out the drip tray. You can definitely smell smoke within the house when it's running, kinda of like the same smell you'd get out of baking in the oven, but with just a bit more smoke.  I think the filtration system does a really good job and it did better than I expected.  I actually like the smell as it reminds me of when we'd burn wood in the fireplace growing up.  Overall, I've been really impressed with the GE Profile Indoor Smoker.  It easily beat my expectations:  It makes smoking much faster and more convenient.  The temperature probe in the app makes it incredibly easy to monitor progress, and clean-up is a breeze.  I'm really looking forward to try out smoking new things like olives or brussels sprouts.

This is an impressive appliance that makes decent smoked foods accessible in the kitchen. It's not an offset smoker, but it does the job. It will be interesting to see how it holds up over the coming months and years (obviously it is technically more complex than the typical outdoor smoker, with both electronic controls and an air scrubber to remove smoke). A wonderful addition to any home kitchen, the GE Profile Indoor Smoker is a beautiful design. The Smoker is easy to use for a variety of meats and other foods. The graphic display has a number of pre-programmed recipes, or allows the user to fully customize a recipe based on their needs. The Smoker connects via WiFi to the GE SmartHQ app, which allows the user to monitor the smoker remotely. Cleanup is simple, as racks are stainless steel and the smoker interior is machine enamel. The large viewing window and interior light allows the user to monitor the smoking process. The probe works flawlessly, and is highly accurate. Longer smoking periods - and depending on pellets - can require pellet or water additions; again simple. In two weeks, have used six different pellets, and have smoked chicken pieces, whole chicken, pork ribs, ribeyes, tri-tips, and briskets. The ease of use and versatility quickly build confidence in the user, ensuring the machine will see frequent use!

After using it for 6 months it is the appliance that I love most. Use it every week, and the foods is good, smoky and tender. My family love the food that come out from it. I live at an apartment, and it is ideal for small spaces. Compared to an outdoor smoker this one is 10 times more advanced, it's like comparing a old truck to a Ferrari, no comparison at all. The GE Smoker is at a next level, yes, not as potent as a wood burning outdoor smoker but I can't use those at my apartment, and GE is simpler, set it and forget it and get the yummy food some hours later, yes you can remove, and wrap the food, etc., etc. all the same as any other smoker and cook the same as any other smoker. The big difference is that it uses the pallets to create smoke, not to create heat, the heat is created by electricity, so it is more consistent, and the smoke is great and controllable. It can be set to pre stored cooking cycles like brisket, ribs, etc. or just customize the time and temperature by yourself. The size is just right for me and my family. It is simple to use and simple to clean, great result all the time. Connected to the phone you always know what's going on and what need to be done. I love it. It is expensive compared to other smokers, but in my opinion, it is worth it.
