Love my sound system

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I use my sound system almost solely for television and movies. The system's size is easily manageable and looks great in the entertainment center, under my wall mounted television. I've never had any issues with blown or cracking speakers and we've definitely tested it very close to its upper limits.

Bring the movie theater to your home!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Superb sound and amazing clarity you fill like your at the movie theaters with all your friends and family over for a movie night. Do not go and buy a regular sound bar and expect it to preform like this one either. I would put this up against any surround sound and this one would blow the competition away.

Gets loud but 4.1 isn't what I was expecting.

I bought this from my local Walmart. Set up is simple but instructions are rough. This thing will get very loud which is cool. The rear speakers are pointless to me, every setting and every position I tried which where many, you can not hear them they make no difference in the sound to be honest. 95 percent of the sound I get is from the bar itself and that is even with center on -6 and rears on 6. They just don't match the price point I paid for this thing. Having said all that. It does work but just not amazing quality in sound distribution.

Thatguy,<br /><br />Thank you for taking a moment to review the HW-C47M Soundbar.<br /><br />Please know, there are various settings you can adjust to improve your experience with the rear speakers.<br /><br />You can adjust the volume of the rear speakers by using the remote included with the connected soundbar. Press the CH LEVEL button on the soundbar remote, then select REAR LEVEL and use the Up/Down buttons to adjust the volume within a -6 to &#43;6 range.<br /><br />Additionally, make sure that the source (e.g. TV output) is sending surround channels to the Soundbar. If you are using a format such as PCM, you may experience decreased volume to the rear speakers. Select Bitstream, Auto, or Pass-Through as these settings will allow the TV to send the correct channels to the rear speakers.<br /><br />If you need more help, Samsung is here for you. Great sound, no HDMI input, won't work with Alexa

I'm not an audiophile, but I think the sound quality is excellent. I can finally understand what people are saying on TV, and the bass is very full. I didn't realize when I bought it that it doesn't support HDMI connection, so be aware of that. Your TV must either support Bluetooth or optical connection. This may not matter to most, but some may want to know you won't be able to connect it to your Alexa/Echo device. Not even with a simple Bluetooth connection. I suspect other voice assistants won't see it, either. I only wanted to use it as a speaker connected to my living room Echo, since the Echo Show 8's speaker is sub-par, and didn't care if Alexa could actually control it, but they simply cannot see each other. So, instead of simply asking Alexa to play music - like I do in the rest of my house - I'll have to connect my phone and do it through there, which doesn't allow me to use the multi-room music capability of Alexa. Frustrating and disappointing, since it's supposed to accept bluetooth connections, but the sound quality is good enough (and I'm lazy enough) that I won't return it.

For a Soundbar to work with Alexa, it does require a Wi-Fi internet connection. The HW-C47M Soundbar is not able to connect to the internet, which is why it will not work with Alexa or any other voice assistant. If you are looking for a Soundbar that can connect to and use voice commands from Alexa, you will want to look at upgrading to the HW-Q700C Soundbar. Nice Sound, Interrupts Picture

These speakers have amazing sound for the price. We bought them in conjunction with a Samsung 50 inch 4K UHD. Have always had good luck with the brand. That changed last night. The TV kept buffering. Thought it was the TV. Got ahold of Samsung tech support, and we troubleshooted the TV. Finally after a factory reset of the TV, the buffering quit. Reinstalled apps... fine. However once the speakers were paired to the TV with Bluetooth the buffering issue happened again. Tried connecting digital audio thinking it might just be the Bluetooth adapter on the TV, nope still happened. With Bluetooth, the speakers caused buffering of the TV a total of 16 times in 5 minutes. With digital audio, it was 8 times in 5 minutes. Yet with the speakers unpaired but turned on, zero times. Not sure of they are interfering with Wifi or what, but they made our TV completely unusable. Returning them tonight and fingers crossed another brand might do better.

Great sound for the price!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have this connected to our main TV in our Livingroom. Love the sound it is crisp and clear. The subwoofer puts out some great bass. We mostly use this for TV but sometimes I bluetooth my phone to it for music and it sounds great. I do samsung would find a way to make the rear speakers fully wireless just like the subwoofer so you didn't need the little box to hook up the speakers with the wires.

Sounds great!

Surround sound w/ wireless speakers and subwoofe

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love the whole setup with this samsung series because it gives you all the options that most surround sound systems offers. You have your main sound bar, left and right smaller speakers, and the subwoofer! You can use it wired or wireless, and even Bluetooth enabled. Sound is great, setup is easy, and the remote gives extra access when needed.

Works as advertised and is simple to install.

By using the WOOFER button on the remote, you can adjust the subwoofer’s volume between -6 to +6 by toggling the button up or down. To set the subwoofer volume level to 0, press the button down. When you press the CH LEVEL button, you can adjust the volume of the VIRTUAL CENTER LEVEL. This will allow you to adjust the overall dialogue between -6 to +6 using the UP/DOWN button on the provided Soundbar remote. When you press the CH LEVEL button when the Wireless Rear Speaker Kit connected to the Soundbar, you can adjust the rear speakers between -6 to +6 using the UP/DOWN buttons. Press and hold the SOUND CONTROL button for about 5 seconds to adjust the sound for each frequency band. 150Hz, 300Hz, 600Hz, 1.2kHz, 2.5kHz, 5kHz, and 10kHz are selectable using the Left/Right buttons and each can be adjusted to a setting between -6 to +6 using the Up/Down buttons. Amazing sound all around
