Yard Farce

I have been using self-propelled lawn mowers for over 30 years and I never have come across any that travels as fast as the Yard Force 6.25. I called Yard Force and the comment was the speed is set to industry standards. My son in law is 32 years old and six feet tall, he mowed part of my lawn and said he almost had to run to keep up. This product needs removed from the market.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Have only had a chance to use the item once. It seems to perform as expected but it's early to be sure. Price....found similar prices elsewhere but ordered from Walmart. Price could have been a bit lower.

Arrived on time and was well packed. very easy to set up just connect handle and put gas and oil in it. It started on first pull and you don't need to pull it hard. I am a 76 year old woman and a self propelled lawnmower is perfect for me. My son came over to put it together for me but I already had it ready, he was very impressed with it. I might slow it down a little and you can do that on any self propelled lawnmower I found. It shows you how on Google and YouTube.

good lawnmower

love my lawnmower. it seems so much easier than my last one. seems a little faster too. but my last one was pretty old. the only thing i dont like about it is. it doesnt have the attachment for my watter hose. so i can clean it easily after use. i have to tip it over to clean under it after every use.

For a self propelled mower, it's not easy to push by any means and is very awkward and heavy. The only way to describe this mower is that it's a beast!!!! Unable to adjust height of the handle - I'm a 5'3" woman and the handle comes up my chest. I want to cut grass, not lift weights. Definitely not user friendly for those my that are my height. Self propel mechanism locked up on me after 5 uses. Do not recommend!!!

Pros and Cons of Yard Force self-propelled mower.

I like that you can rise or lower the blade with one easy handle. Easy start up. Powerful self-propelled on the 2 setting. If you mow lower, on setting 1 it is not that great. Self-propelled is almost off. I absolutely do not like the handle to engage the blade. That design is terrible. You have to hold both metal grates to the handle and hold down the hold time you are mowing.

Best Push Mower Value

This thing is amazing, I bought it in early spring, and here we are in August and still runs like day 1! This is a powerful mower with a decent sized mow deck and to be entirely honest, the easiest starting mower I have ever owned without an ignition key. It roughly takes an effortless quarter pull of the pullstring, and it fires right up and is ready to go. I keep my yard well maintained with this little beast, though I don't use the self-propelling option a whole lot. I will say that it works well, however, my yard is not ideal for extended use of that feature. My yard has some bumpy spots near the trees that it is powerful enough to throw it off and make me mow uneven and I like tidy lines. That being said I use it when I can't stand comfortably behind it in some of the tree areas and walk beside it past the point and then get back behind it, or a few spots near the fencing where I bump the throttle to edge it up and make room for me to walk behind again. In the front yard I use the self-propelled feature more as the yard is much smoother and open. I never regret this purchase and would look for another Yard Master in the future..

It's just too much for my wife wife and I to handle, and it took several tries to get it started,so I'm going to have to send this unit back, and get something that both my wife and I can handle, and I don't know what the deal is with it taking several times to get started, and sorry guys but this one is going to have to go back and I'll order a mower that will suit my wife and me!!!!!

Factory defect

This mower has the potential, it has plenty of power and all the features I was looking for such as one lever height adjustment, a B%26S engine, and rear wheel drive. Do not purchase this mower if you cannot, make adjustments. The tires and wheels wobble so much that the front wheels rub the body and get hung and the self-drive is so powerful it makes wheelies every time, because of this the grass is very uneven and require lots of recutting but at least it's fast

Pretty good, but needs a few improvements

I like the mower overall, good power, sturdy deck, but it needs better build quality. With the mulch plug in, clippings still come out over the deck, front wheels are wobbly, cheap loose fitting plastic pieces. Parts of the handles need a little force to screw and bend them straight. The transmission spindle NEEDS to be metal NOT plastic. If you use the self propel for extended periods, the spindle may melt or break the rope because of the heat. I only use it going up steep inclines on my yard. I bought it discounted for around $350, you’d expect a well built mower with close to zero flaws, but not the case. I’ve used the mower 5 times and no issues. The only gripe I have with the engine is the exhaust facing forward instead of the side, when wind blows in my face, so do the exhaust fumes. Strong Briggs%26Stratton engine though. Cuts the grass easily and a lever to change the height on all 4 wheels. The self propel is a little quick, but no problem for me, a fit 25 yr old, I like it. I think the mower will last a good 10 years at least, maybe not the self propel. Make sure to run out all the old gas before storing, change oil every year and put new gas in when mowing season starts. Do this every year and any mower will last.
