Mows well BUT When on self propelled it goes way too fast ! have ALWAYS Had self propelled mowers..my last one died a few weeks ago and I ordered this one... I never had a problem "keeping up" with any of them until this one. self propelled option flies ! and no option to slow it down wish I had saved the box ..I would definitely have returned the mower to walmart! now Im stuck swith a 300 $ mower Im not going to be able to use!

OUTSTANDING product!!! One of the two best lawnmowers I have owned in my 63 years on this planet. The single lever height adjustment is SO simple. This self-propelled mower's side dump option is perfect for me needs, which I could hardly find one that had side dump with other brands. The Briggs and Stratton (sp?) engine is a name I've trusted for years. (So far so good.) C/O "assembly:" Super simple, but I would offer a "word-to-the-wise" to carefully think through the placement of the cables (i.e., drive and dead man cut-off) prior to attaching the lower handle. Just an FYI ;)

Despite the reviews, I bought this mower not knowing some of the perks. It has rear wheel drive, non-prime start and one lever on back wheel to change the cutting height. Quick and easy to put together, started on first pull. Mowing steep hills is effortless. I really like the bigger wheels on back of mower also.

I think the self propel system should be a variable speed system, the more you pull the engagement lever, the faster it goes; release the lever slightly, from fully engaged allows the mower to slow down slightly, the more the release, the slower the system propel the mower. For older folks that might not be able to walk fast behind the mower, a variable speed control system would be ideal. Otherwise, I really like this mower; well built, sturdy, light enough to easily maneuver around obstacles, relatively quiet, good on gas, one-pull starting with no priming necessary. I recommend it, with the one exception noted above.

I gave the mower 3 stars. It would have been more stars except for 1 issue with the wheel. First I liked how it came assembled and i only had to assemble the bag and handle. The mower started quick and easy the few times I used it. The self propelled part was a little fast, but I'm a bigger guy so it was easy for me to keep up. It cut the grass nicely, I wish it would have cut the grass a little finer, so I wouldn't have to empty the bag as often. The one issue I had with the mower and the reason I returned it, was the right front wheel got jammed against the mower body and couldn't roll when the wheel adjustment was on 5 and 6. The other adjustment levels worked fine.

This lawnmower, in my opinion is JUNK. It would not stay running after finally getting it to start. Getting it to start was a while different level of workout! Anytime pushing the mower up any type of incline, it would bog down and stall once again. Hence, the workout begins again!!!!! I would not recommend at all

This mower was THE WORST I ever used! I RETURNED it! It couldn't handle anything that wasn't on perfectly level ground,didn't cut well,did wheelies,tips over on slope,the self propel hardly worked, it is like a jalopy! I sent it back %26 decided to fix my POWERSMART 22" 196cc self propel %26 my 25 year old CRAFTSMAN 6.0 GOLD self drive %26 they both are powerful beasts that I love! I do alot of mowing so it has to be fun %26 the YARDFORCE is anything BUT fun! Terrible mower,buy something else!

This mower has the potential, it has plenty of power and all the features I was looking for such as one lever height adjustment, a B%26S engine, and rear wheel drive. Do not purchase this mower if you cannot, make adjustments. The tires and wheels wobble so much that the front wheels rub the body and get hung and the self-drive is so powerful it makes wheelies every time, because of this the grass is very uneven and require lots of recutting but at least it's fast

For a self propelled mower, it's not easy to push by any means and is very awkward and heavy. The only way to describe this mower is that it's a beast!!!! Unable to adjust height of the handle - I'm a 5'3" woman and the handle comes up my chest. I want to cut grass, not lift weights. Definitely not user friendly for those my that are my height. Self propel mechanism locked up on me after 5 uses. Do not recommend!!!

I like that you can rise or lower the blade with one easy handle. Easy start up. Powerful self-propelled on the 2 setting. If you mow lower, on setting 1 it is not that great. Self-propelled is almost off. I absolutely do not like the handle to engage the blade. That design is terrible. You have to hold both metal grates to the handle and hold down the hold time you are mowing.
