it arrived 3 days ago and today the power went out so I got to test it. I went through all the procedures for startup and everything worked as it should. VERY quiet compared to our older generator. It did stutter a little trying to start our house HVAC system for the first time. So far I like it.

Following the bomb cyclone that hit the Pacific Northwest recently, I never wanted to repeat the experience of having no power and no heat at the house for an extended period. After much research, I decided on the #201417. I had the interlock kit installed today and ran a test of the generator for the first time. The true test was when I turned on the Mitsubishi Inverter 3-ton (36k BTU) heat pump. It didn't even flinch. And there were already 3 full sized refrigerators running on it. I'm surprised how quiet this unit was, even with load. You can have a normal conversation around it without having to raise your voice so much. I'm glad to have made this addition to the house. I now feel better about having emergency backup power. I'll be breaking in the unit this week so it can be ready and on standby!

Bought about a month ago for emergency backup and powering some equipment when far away from wall power. Haven't tried the second part, but it handled powering the house extremely well. One thing to note is that the 30A fuse is off by default and it's not covered in the manual at all. So if you're trying to connect the 30A socket to the transfer switch and the electricity gnomes don't want to make your stuff work, don't be me and re-check every connection for 5 minutes. Start with the fuse.

After spending 8 days without power last summer after hurricane Helene and no water since we get water from our well, we decided to buy a generator. After studying various options we decided to get the Champion 11000 watt unit. Haven’t used it yet but it has the features I need to power my home via a Generlink transfer switch which will allow me to run the well and most of my house.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] just recieved my new inverter and set it all up. all went well and unit ran nicely and was extreemly quite. Would have gone 5 stars except the owners manual isnt always clear and there was no thought put into the product around using a trickle charger that should have been built in, if you have a battery on a product that is only used 1-2 times/year you have to think about how the customer will charge it and make it convieneint for them. The display cycles between the modes makes it somewhat useless , would be better to have a button that allows you to cycle between the modes and leave it where you want.

Ok this could not have been more simple. Order the generator and while waiting had the electrician come install a 50 amp connection and breaker. Generator arrived by truck on a small pallet. Unboxed it followed the instructions on installing the wheels and legs. Then put in the oil make sure you go slow otherwise it will overflow. Hooked up the battery. Took it outside hooked up to propane and it fired right up. Able to run almost everything the dryer is a little much for it but I am at 6000 ft so I lose a bit of power. Well worth the money.

I'm a 55-year-old female with some physical disability. I might have trouble actually getting one started with the pull cord, so I chose this with the electric start. I started it up easily right out of the box! Very pleased. Now I want the 4000W version... when and if it becomes available...

Just bought. Impressed how everything you need to start up is in the box. Instructions easy and clear. No issue installing handles/wheels. Once ready, started right up by electric start but also tried the pull start which I can do but when my wife tried she was unable to do. Although it wieghs 205 lb I can move around easily but on this one my wife was able to wheel around. We are currently waiting for our electrician to come to get set up into our main panel for the house. We are confident this is going to be a great back power supply.

I purchased this Generator because of the features, capacity and the fact that it is an inverter. We had a thirteen hour power outage and we hooked up the New Generator and powered our whole home! This generator replaces a non-inverter generator that we have had for several years. I really like the quality of the Champion and the features it has. It started right up and ran as advertised. For a generator of this size it was reasonably quiet especially compared to my old generator which was not an inverter. Now we can run our sensitive electronics without worry about damaging them. Our HVAC is a super high efficiency model with a very expensive mother board and I did not want to take a chance with dirty power. I would buy Champion products again.

Did the upgrade here from my trusty Champion 7500 duel fuel. I wanted more power PLUS have clean inverter power. This unit is amazing!! I’m running basically my entire home - can’t be happier! FYI… Florida west coast resident and were hit hard last year - I’m ready as can be for this season. Well done Champion!
