Just unboxed and started it up. Started immediately and was ready to go. No issues! Don’t forget to add the oil and connect the battery. Also, it needs a break in period as these engines have never been run. Afterwards you will need to change the oil and you are good to go. Using this to back up my home needs in case of electrical outage. This is a heavy machine so be careful and get help lifting it out of your cat or after delivery.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this generator after extensive shopping for an upgrade from a different brand which gave me trouble during a recent outage. I decided to go for Champion based on the reputation and reviews I have seen and heard over recent years. This generator has performed flawlessly so far and impressed me with the quality. It runs quiet considering it's size and seems very well made. This is the first portable generator I have seen that has a real metal dipstick like a car, not a stumpy plastic thing like most others. It started instantly after adding oil and connecting the battery which was already fully charged from the factory according to my charger. It runs everything in my house except for the 3 ton AC, which will probably run fine with the addition of a soft start device. The only catch to this model is it is very heavy, but that is because it is well made. I have every confidence that this generator will provide excellent service during our next outage. Well done Champion!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought this portable home generator for back up power. We own 2 other Champion products, RV portable generator and log splitter. We’ve never had any trouble with them and decided to purchase new generator because of that.

Ok this could not have been more simple. Order the generator and while waiting had the electrician come install a 50 amp connection and breaker. Generator arrived by truck on a small pallet. Unboxed it followed the instructions on installing the wheels and legs. Then put in the oil make sure you go slow otherwise it will overflow. Hooked up the battery. Took it outside hooked up to propane and it fired right up. Able to run almost everything the dryer is a little much for it but I am at 6000 ft so I lose a bit of power. Well worth the money.

Home backup / portable welding plasma cutting very nice generator inverter at a great price. Dual fuel right out of the box. Easy to maneuver and surprisingly quiet. This thing is literally as quiet as my harbor freight 3500 predator practically. Also this unit in my opinion is nicer than harbor freights 9500 inverter, its also cheaper and comes with a 3 year warranty. Seems very durable but only long term ownership will be able to validate that. Otherwise very nice unit would highly recommend. Great features. Only thing it lacks is remote start and parallel capabilities which honestly is something id never use anyway so i bought it. Ive owned another champion begore and it was great.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] just recieved my new inverter and set it all up. all went well and unit ran nicely and was extreemly quite. Would have gone 5 stars except the owners manual isnt always clear and there was no thought put into the product around using a trickle charger that should have been built in, if you have a battery on a product that is only used 1-2 times/year you have to think about how the customer will charge it and make it convieneint for them. The display cycles between the modes makes it somewhat useless , would be better to have a button that allows you to cycle between the modes and leave it where you want.

I could not be Happier with my new Champion #201417 11,000 Duel Fuel Electric Start Inverter Generator. I live in Florida and we suffer from power outages all the time. In the past I just a small generator to run a few things. But now with this new generator it will run all my soft loads tv, fans, lights, it will run my 3ton ac unit, refrigerator, a freezer, Microwave all at maybe only half load. I also purchased Model #100828 30 ft. 50A 125/250V Generator Cord that connects to a 50-Amp manual transfer switch connected to my house. I did the 5hr break in with various load the changed the oil and starting turning on loads 3Ton AC was first worked perfectly started and more loads this thing is a work horse it is very quiet even under loads.

i just bought my generator and i could not be more excited about my purchase to know that i have such an amazing state of the art product to get me through an unexpected event and an item that is going to be useful anytime i need backup to power my home..

Following the bomb cyclone that hit the Pacific Northwest recently, I never wanted to repeat the experience of having no power and no heat at the house for an extended period. After much research, I decided on the #201417. I had the interlock kit installed today and ran a test of the generator for the first time. The true test was when I turned on the Mitsubishi Inverter 3-ton (36k BTU) heat pump. It didn't even flinch. And there were already 3 full sized refrigerators running on it. I'm surprised how quiet this unit was, even with load. You can have a normal conversation around it without having to raise your voice so much. I'm glad to have made this addition to the house. I now feel better about having emergency backup power. I'll be breaking in the unit this week so it can be ready and on standby!

Purchased the 11000 watt dual fuel inverter recently. This generator is awesome! It starts up with ease and is very quiet. I broke it in and have now ran the whole house with it including a 4 ton ac w/ hyper engineering soft start. It barely revs up when it starts. Overall I’m very happy.
