[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Took a while to arrive, but I'm way up in Maine. It's a heavy MF. Followed the startup instructions, pressed the button, and 'viola', it started right up. I was ready to plug my ears, but was amazed at how quiet it was . Sounded almost like an idling car. After a few minutes, I plugged in my electric car to charge, and was surprised to notice that there was very little change in the RPMs. My friend and I were having a normal voice conversation with the generator between us at our feet! Looking forward to using it as my home backup generator, and for an off-grid cabin in the woods.

I purchased this Generator because of the features, capacity and the fact that it is an inverter. We had a thirteen hour power outage and we hooked up the New Generator and powered our whole home! This generator replaces a non-inverter generator that we have had for several years. I really like the quality of the Champion and the features it has. It started right up and ran as advertised. For a generator of this size it was reasonably quiet especially compared to my old generator which was not an inverter. Now we can run our sensitive electronics without worry about damaging them. Our HVAC is a super high efficiency model with a very expensive mother board and I did not want to take a chance with dirty power. I would buy Champion products again.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very nice generator with a few things that could be improved. The unit seems very well constructed and starts right up easily on propane. I completed the break in cycle and have used it to charge batteries at 7100W with no issues. Things I would improve would be the display, adding a button to cycle through the screens so I don't have to sit there and wait. While the load is shown with percentage lights on the side of the screen, it would be nice to have an actual wattage and percentage load on the display cycle. A two wire remote start would be wonderful.

Bought it a month ago and first one I received wouldn’t start. Tried calling CPE support but I was just on hold for hours so the retailer replaced the generator. This generator is a beast. I’m surprised how quiet it is for it’s size. I’m still breaking it in but it powers anything I plug into it.

I bought this 11000 watt dual fuel generator after hurricane Helene devastated our area. Setup was very easy and started the generator on propane after second push start. This generator will enable us to run our entire house when isolated from the power grid.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this generator after extensive shopping for an upgrade from a different brand which gave me trouble during a recent outage. I decided to go for Champion based on the reputation and reviews I have seen and heard over recent years. This generator has performed flawlessly so far and impressed me with the quality. It runs quiet considering it's size and seems very well made. This is the first portable generator I have seen that has a real metal dipstick like a car, not a stumpy plastic thing like most others. It started instantly after adding oil and connecting the battery which was already fully charged from the factory according to my charger. It runs everything in my house except for the 3 ton AC, which will probably run fine with the addition of a soft start device. The only catch to this model is it is very heavy, but that is because it is well made. I have every confidence that this generator will provide excellent service during our next outage. Well done Champion!

Once I got it assembled, I was pleased with how quiet it runs. Also, the many features such as dual fuel, battery start, and info readout are great. But Champion needs to improve their quality control on mounting holes for the feet and axle. One foot would mount on either side with no problems, but the other made a tight fit for the fourth screw, on either side of the unit and no matter which hole was left for last. Likewise, and even more difficult was mounting the axle - which required a socket wrench and even then I was afraid I was stripping the threads, it was so hard to screw all the way in - which the directions said to make sure was done! Again, no combination of placement or selection of the order of fastening the screws could prevent this. Please improve your welding jigs for the axle, and implement better inspection and more consistently accurate metal forming of the feet. I was also disappointed in the rating of the highest-current output. For use as a home backup generator, one would expect that a user would want to get the maximum possible output current. But there is no such thing as a 37.5A transfer switch/breaker available. My electrician and I finally agreed on 50A breaker. I don't know whether even a 40A is commonly available. Also, there are manual circuit breakers on the unit's panel for every outlet EXCEPT the 37.5A, which is concerning - again since one would expect a user to want to access the largest current source for home backup. This should at least be addressed in the User Manual. Finally, Champion's covers' dimensions do not match those of at least this generator. The recommended cover had dimensions too small to fit, and the largest cover was too long, but that allowed me to cover my propane bottle, too. I look forward to many years of availability for home backup use, for as a whole the unit seems to be manufactured with very high quality, despite the glitches noted.

I purchased this generator to replace a smaller Generac pull-start generator. The Champion 9000 run 11000 peak amps will allow me to run almost everything in my home during a power outage including a fridge, freezer, heating, well pump, and lights. The electric start is great. The older I get the harder it is to pull-start the Generac. This is the third piece of Champion equipment that I own. I have a 7-ton log splitter and a 22" tiller. They make a great engine. Starts easily every time!

Did the upgrade here from my trusty Champion 7500 duel fuel. I wanted more power PLUS have clean inverter power. This unit is amazing!! I’m running basically my entire home - can’t be happier! FYI… Florida west coast resident and were hit hard last year - I’m ready as can be for this season. Well done Champion!

Waited for this generator to be in stock and ordered it as soon as it was available and so far I'm glad I waited for it. Still going through the break in period but this thing is a beast. Runs most of my house without any issues and is very quiet compared to other generators of this size and even some of the small "super quiet" ones. Can't wait to get it broke in and put a full load on it to see what it can really do.
