I bought this because of the dual fuel option and 11000 watts is just about perfect for a home backup.Setup was easy as can be and I broke mine in for 50 hours.Flawless operation so far,quiet,and I love the option to run on propane!Champion is knocking it out of the park!

Purchased this to run dual AC units on our new camper and it does that with ease, even though the unit only produces 37.5A. Unit is quiet, but not as quiet as our 3600W Champion Inverter, but it's also 3X the power. Overall very solid unit, always happy with Champion generators, they have never let me down.

I’ve had this unit for almost a year now and I’m very impressed. The inverter style is the way to go, it’s so quiet even out of eco mode. I let it run once a month at least for an hour and pull start or electric start it fires right up! Having the option on the dial to run the carburetor dry when it shuts down is really nice. I’ll be back to get a smaller unit for camping trips. This one is nice for a whole house. Thanks Champion!

I just received this inverter generator and received it today. I was excited to get it set up and fire it up. It went exactly as expected and it started up immediately. This generator was very quiet as advertised. I am very happy to have purchased this generator and I would certainly recommend Champion Generators to anyone looking to "upgrade".

This served us well during a direct hit from hurricane Milton; this Champion inverter came to our rescue! It powered our entire house with a soft start on a 4 ton AC compressor. What luxury it felt to have cool air, cold food and lights. Oil was easy to change. It was recommended to change to a NGK plug, so I did that right away. Heavy as you'd expect but it wheels around very easily. I'm so glad to have the dual fuel option, however, I'm dreadfully disappointed to see that a remote start isn't available. I read Champions repsonse on why for LP, but I think that's a bad decision to make, it should be up to the end user to practice safe use. I almost dropped a star for this. I also wish the screws and bolts were stainless steel. The closed case of the inverter makes the noise tolerable. We are pleased! (Minus the elimination of remote start)

Once I got it assembled, I was pleased with how quiet it runs. Also, the many features such as dual fuel, battery start, and info readout are great. But Champion needs to improve their quality control on mounting holes for the feet and axle. One foot would mount on either side with no problems, but the other made a tight fit for the fourth screw, on either side of the unit and no matter which hole was left for last. Likewise, and even more difficult was mounting the axle - which required a socket wrench and even then I was afraid I was stripping the threads, it was so hard to screw all the way in - which the directions said to make sure was done! Again, no combination of placement or selection of the order of fastening the screws could prevent this. Please improve your welding jigs for the axle, and implement better inspection and more consistently accurate metal forming of the feet. I was also disappointed in the rating of the highest-current output. For use as a home backup generator, one would expect that a user would want to get the maximum possible output current. But there is no such thing as a 37.5A transfer switch/breaker available. My electrician and I finally agreed on 50A breaker. I don't know whether even a 40A is commonly available. Also, there are manual circuit breakers on the unit's panel for every outlet EXCEPT the 37.5A, which is concerning - again since one would expect a user to want to access the largest current source for home backup. This should at least be addressed in the User Manual. Finally, Champion's covers' dimensions do not match those of at least this generator. The recommended cover had dimensions too small to fit, and the largest cover was too long, but that allowed me to cover my propane bottle, too. I look forward to many years of availability for home backup use, for as a whole the unit seems to be manufactured with very high quality, despite the glitches noted.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Took a while to arrive, but I'm way up in Maine. It's a heavy MF. Followed the startup instructions, pressed the button, and 'viola', it started right up. I was ready to plug my ears, but was amazed at how quiet it was . Sounded almost like an idling car. After a few minutes, I plugged in my electric car to charge, and was surprised to notice that there was very little change in the RPMs. My friend and I were having a normal voice conversation with the generator between us at our feet! Looking forward to using it as my home backup generator, and for an off-grid cabin in the woods.

After spending 8 days without power last summer after hurricane Helene and no water since we get water from our well, we decided to buy a generator. After studying various options we decided to get the Champion 11000 watt unit. Haven’t used it yet but it has the features I need to power my home via a Generlink transfer switch which will allow me to run the well and most of my house.

I’ve been waiting for Champion to come out with a duel fuel generator with a very high wattage. I currently own the 8750w open frame inverter generator but wanted more wattage to cover my whole house. The 201417 model does just that. I can now hook this generator up to my interlock kit and run my whole house. The bonus is being able to use propane to run the generator. No more worry about a gummed up carb. It was very easy to set up. Fired right up and so much quieter than the open frame. I own other Champion power equipment and have never had an issue. I highly recommend this generator.

We've always relied on a portable gas generator for power outages but since we have a monitor heater we couldnt use it because the generator would fry the electronics. We made the switch to this dual-fuel inverter generator and now we can use our monitor (and the kids can safely use their electronics too). Its nice to know steady reliable power is flowing into the house and having propane as a fuel option is nice since its much easier to store than gasoline. Very pleased with this generator, fires right up, pretty quiet and gets the job done during those multi-day Maine outages.
