It is difficult to obtain a clean shave in certain places as under the nose and around the ears. I also have to go over areas several times. With my old Norelco razor, that wasn't an issue.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Currently, I use this shaver occasionally between blade shaving. It works well and I have lengthened the time between shaving with a blade. The Phillips 7000 shaves are good but not as close as with a blade. The Phillips shave is good enough for many activities. I noticed a little irritation when I started using the Phillips, but that has gone away.

I couldn’t believe that I was getting a much closer shave than with a blade. It’s so fast and quiet and no pulling of the skin. I highly recommend this to anyone looking for a close shave.

This shaver is made so much sturdier & even cuts better than my old 6000 shaver which I thought was great until the three head holder kept falling off. The shaft connecting the shaver heads to the body is shorter & of heavier material thus obviously better made.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got the version without the cleaning system. However the app is convinced that I do and just about every time, it asks me if I want to clean it. If I put my model number in, shouldn't it know whether I have the cleaning system or not??

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Ah well here goes : I liked the old model better especially the round heads .( you have record of the old model . The square heads stick out to far and interfere with the NOSE . Further I had to find a USB port / plug , what’s that all about ? Never seen a USB port in a bath room . I like the old beard trimmer better , more versatile. Further the new unit does not seem as smooth . But all in all it does the job in it’s in own fashion . There ya go E. W. Clucas

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First off, I have always had problems using an electric shaver. Always left face red and Rashed. I had not used one in over 30 years. Don't know why but I gave this a chance and I'm glad I did. The app for the phone is a nice touch. I have used it for a few weeks now and am generally happy with it. I haven't gotten the close shave of a razer yet, but it does cut close if you use the recommended circular motion while shaving. I have tried it both wet and dry. The cleaning addition works well, but I do use a soft brush to clean the inside after each use.

The cleaning stand/cartridge is an added benefit, and the USB charge cord allows re-upping the battery just about anywhere.
