The aroma of these beans lured me in as I passed by the display! Definitely a splurge, but makes a great cup of coffee. Onyx never disappoints.

We’ve enjoyed this medium roast coffee. We were out of coffee and during our Sam’s run came across Doyenne’s. It’s a medium roast, very tasty and we would purchase it again.

I've always been into specialty coffee, but I never thought I would be able to find Onyx Coffee Lab beans at the accessibility Sam's Club allows. I love knowing that these are not only delicious and premium, but also sustainable and fair trade!!! They really do put their coffee farmers first! Both a beginner to coffee and a seasoned specialty coffee drinker can get the same quality of cup since literally all of the helpful information is posted online.

I grind and use from my French press coffee. Excellent and smooth flavor.

We roast our own coffee and are pretty particular. Our roaster is broken so we’re using other brands in the mean time. Is this the BEST coffee; no. But it is it really good for this price point; yes! I fully recommend it and hope Sam’s keeps it around.

per oz this costs more than another brand sold by sams that uses the spanish word for moon in its name.. compared to that one its not as good. save your money and get the other brand. it is light years more freshly roasted than anythihg else sold by sams

I bought this coffee mostly because of all the positive reviews. We use a Chemex brewer and Chemex bonded paper filter for this Onyx medium roasted bean. We also have a high end coffee grinder and ground the bean medium coarse, just follow the instruction. The result is not as good as other beans we’ve used.

I loved that Sam's offered local Onyx coffee but I really miss the previous Doyenne Columbia that was offered but they don't carry it anymore. I think it had a better flavor and was smoother than Delta Spirit. Please bring it back!

While this has the onyx name, I can see why they put it in tiny letters. This is not up to their normal standards and I wonder if they’re distributing it through Sam’s because it’s a lesser product. The beans are the color of old dusty chocolate and the flavor is so bland it’s barely coffee. I don’t normally write reviews but this product needs to not be sold under the onyx brand. If Sam’s wants to sell Southern Weather beans…you’ve got me! Otherwise, pass on this dud.
