We've enjoyed this medium roast coffee. We were out of coffee and during our Sam's run came across Doyenne's. It's a medium roast, very tasty and we would purchase it again.

The aroma of these beans lured me in as I passed by the display! Definitely a splurge, but makes a great cup of coffee. Onyx never disappoints.

Doyenne Delta Spirit coffee beans are OK but I will not buy this again for two reasons: a) The price as compared to the offering and b) the roast. My humble opinion is that the company should offer a medium dark roast which would bring out the richness of the beans and better justify the price.

per oz this costs more than another brand sold by sams that uses the spanish word for moon in its name.. compared to that one its not as good. save your money and get the other brand. it is light years more freshly roasted than anythihg else sold by sams

I bought this coffee mostly because of all the positive reviews. We use a Chemex brewer and Chemex bonded paper filter for this Onyx medium roasted bean. We also have a high end coffee grinder and ground the bean medium coarse, just follow the instruction. The result is not as good as other beans we've used.

Mild and smooth with no bitterness. Somewhat unexciting.

I tried three times to give it a chance, but found this coffee to have a weird taste reminiscent of chicken broth, if that makes sense. Yes, it is a medium coffee and had some smell and flavor of coffee, but the mouthfeel and notes were like that of broth. Obviously that was not what flavor I was going for, so I gave it away to a friend who drinks anything. I generally enjoy robust, full-bodied darker roasts that have dark chocolate, caramel, and spiciness to them and this was too weak for me. For those that want to know how it was brewed, I have a MOCCAMASTER 10 cup thermal carafe brewing system and grind the whole beans in a burr grinder on medium-coarse right before brewing every pot.

I was sorely disappointed by this coffee. The beans appear to hardly have been roasted. They are pale. The beans have no aroma, with my nose deep into the bag. This is some of the most disappointing coffee that I have ever had. We had to supplement the grounds from this coffee, with the grounds from another brand to brew up a decent strength coffee. I will never purchase this coffee again.
