This product does not make any sound and the light seems to be a good amount to attract bugs. It is not bright enough to be distracting at night. I appreciate that the light trap has sticky sides on BOTH sides of the refill, just in case bugs go behind the light - good thinking!

Within 6 hours of barely being plugged in I've seen dead critters. I wish it was larger but for the price it does its job 100%! It also doubles as night light.

Left it there for a few hours hoping it will catch some fruit flies or gnats. Nothing. I will continue to use it and hopefully it just needs a few more hrs to do its job.

I checked the light 2 hours later and there was a couple of gnats stuck on the trap. I'm looking forward how much the trap will catch in the next coming week and the blue lights a plus.

You simply take it out of the box, put the refill in, plug it in, and it's ready to go. There are no chemicals to touch and no sticky messes to leave around your house. The product looks like a nightlight and easily attracts flying insects. I will definitely be purchasing this product again, if needed.
