I do notice that the refill does a good job of maintaining its stickiness and helping control the flying insect problem in my home. I like that you can buy refills separately when it is time to replace especially during the summer months when I notice more insects.

Gnats are a big problem when I have fresh fruit in the house, and this works so well to get rid of them. I like that it has the blue light that works as a night light also. It doesn't use anything but light to attract the bugs. It's a great product, and I plan on putting them in a few rooms.

The stem flying insect light trap is basically a night light with a sticky plastic piece that bugs stick to. The blue light attracts fruit flies, mosquitoes, gnats, moths, etc. I think it's a good idea but does seem pricey for what it is. The cartridges are recommended to be replaced at least every 14 days. I've only used it for a short period of time but I think I can be useful if there's an active bug infestation. I also think I'll catch more bugs at night when the blue light is the only thing that is bright.

It's inevitable that I will bring home fruit flys from bananas and this keeps them away. It also has caught a full size fly. Such a genius pesticide free way to keep bugs out of my home. I needed a mosquito killer in my boys room and I didn't want to use products with chemicals on them, I tried all home remedies and hacks you can find out online! Nothing worked. I heard about light traps and I was looking for one, then I got the opportunity to try stem flying insects light trap! The product is easy to use, you literally take it from the package, insert the refill (that comes with) and plug into a wall socket, no chemicals are used, just a sticky surface (both sides) and a blue light that can go as a night light too (my boys still need a light night to stay in their room;) ) the light attracks the insects, to get trapped in the sticky part! the product is affordable and easy to use, I'm getting another one for the fruit flies in the kitchen
