It is effortless to set up and use and is mess and scent-free. I keep it near my plants as this is where the gnats usually come from in my house. At night, it's the only light visible and flying insects that came through the sliding doors during the day are attracted to the light and sticky pad. It does a great job of attracting and holding the small insects. For my use, one sticky pad lasts through the summer.

I recently bought the STEM Flying Insects Light Trap to try to get rid of the constant gnats and fruit flies I kept seing at home. The first night I plugged it in, I was amazed at how fast it worked! The sticky side had already trapped 3 gnats before I went to bed. What I love about this trap is that it is pet friendly and will not be hazardous to my 2 kitties. I also enjoy the fact that the sticky part is behind the light cover so my kitties can't get to it.

If you have bugs that are flying around without paying rent, they are attracted to the light and they do get trapped. It may not be a permanent fix, but it definitely helps. Gnats are my main problem due to fresh produce and growing green onions lol.

The refill sides are very sticky so try and keep your fingers off the edges when you are removing the protective sheets from either side. The end of the refill with the cutouts go into the plug. There was a nice click to let you know it is secure. The clear screen has a thin plastic like cover that you will need to peel off. I am plugging this in close to our front door as there are so many flying bugs on our porch. When you plug it in it glows with a pretty blue light. So it also serves a great night light. Looking forward to see how it works but seems very practical in attracting and catching flying insects. They are all on my porch because they are attracted to my porch light at night, so logic tells me that this product will lure them in and due to the stickiness of the refill cartridge will trap them. Hoping this is how it goes as my son screams in fright at every flying insect, lol.

This product is a very useful item for me since I always have insects stuck in the house. Conveniently today I have been trying to catch a fly that has been flying around my house. After being unsuccessful with the fly swatter, I plugged this in for only a bit and the fly is already taken care of. My only complaint with this product thus far is that it doesn't come with any refills, but that is not the end of the world!

I took the system out of the box and clicked in the sticky "trap" and it was ready to go. It provides a nice, low light but is easy to put out of the way. I haven't had anything get caught there yet but I'm excited to see if it helps lower the number of fruit flies we usually have.

Within 24 hrs of plugging it in the trap was filled with bugs and they haven't returned! Works great!
