I picked up the STEM Flying Insect Light Trap to plug in near the door to catch any little bugs that may make it in. It's not quite warm enough for bugs but I'll be ready for them when they come. I selected this product because it is pet friendly and without any insecticides. Let's point out the few thing on the label that made me raise an eyebrow - 1) Replace refill every 14 days for best performance. 2) Plug in where there is ventilation. With those things in mind, I'm excited to use this in warmer weather.

However the fact that it plus into an out let makes it a little harder to be "in areas with heavy flying insects activity" as the instructions instruct. It would nice more convenient having it battery operated so I could move it around to places that don't have an outlet. I also wish that it came with at least one additional sticky pad to use. It does it jobs of collecting insects as it should so I'm happy and will purchase refills and continue to use the product.

What's cool about it is it's got this sticky pad on both sides to catch the flies, plus there's light that you can actually use as a night light in addition to attracting flies. The best part? There's no weird smell or chemicals, which I really like. It is totally safe for everyone in the house. It's been a pretty neat solution for a common problem.

So far, it has been lucrative, as there are noticeably a decrease in fruit flies in my home. It is too early to tell, but I'm definitely keeping this product around through the summertime to aid and housefly and mosquito season. PS, please make variations that can be battery powered as well!!
