I purchased to get rid of little flies that have been gathering around a potted plant. My other trap has caught gnats near my fruit bowl in the kitchen, hoping this will do the job. It's a combination of the light and the sticky trap behind the light that catches the flies. I'm hoping this will work for houseflies as well.

It also hasn’t caught near as many flying critters as the competitor item does. I just don’t feel it works as well and I don’t love the setup of it

It lights a shield up in sort blue light to attract the insects. The softness of the blue light makes it not be obnoxious. I like that. The light doesn't put out a smell, which is good. There wasn't many bugs out, but did attract a couple that did stick to the trap part. It does seem a little expensive, but you only have to purchase the refill part once the trap part gets full of bugs.

The light trap itself was durable and had good weight to it. The sticky part of the trap had a good amount of surface area and had a nice blue hue, almost as if it doubled as a night light.

It seems that it attracts flies to light which is very valid. I am unsure it's effectiveness due to short amount of time I have had this product but I'm confident it works.

Easy refills and I'm not worried about the lightbulb shattering or the glue/adhesive leaking into the lighting mechanism. Perfect if you have indoor plants and want a little extra bug protection.

It works well enough for those pesky fruit flies. It would have been nice to have an on/off switch so you can turn off when not in use instead of plugging and unplugging.
