This flying insect trap is small and compact, making it easy to use - just plug it in. It attracts flies and insects at night with its light, and traps them on a sticky pad. It operates quietly and is pet-friendly. I'm purchasing it because I have many indoor plants that are easily infected by gnats. Previously, I used a bulkier device with lights and made loud buzz sounds when flys were trapped, but I'm now trying this portable option with sticky pads. Will need to replace the sticky pads tho. Don't know how long will the pad last.

This light trap works attracting all kind of flying bugs while maintaining an elegant look. I like the fact that you can't see all the bugs that had been trapped. The way the trap is designed to hide the trap behind the front part is great that you don't have to look directly at what has been trapped. You can use in a double switch but it will be better to make the prongs even smaller that way you can use it in combination with other appliances. The trap has the glued area on both sides so it will last quite a bit. Great product!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received product reimbursement in exchange for my honest review. I have been wanting to try this type of light/fly catching device for sometime. I have several house plants, a few being in the kitchen so I felt this product would be perfect for me in my kitchen when I get the occasional gnats from my plants, especially in warmer months. This is super easy to use, you literally unpackage it, there is a refill that you place in there where you remove a protector for both sides and it's sticky on both sides (catching the bugs) and that's it- you plug it in once ready. When the refill is full of bugs you just throw away and replace the refill- this is better than what I thought the product featured which was some sort of receptacle that had to be emptied periodically. But on that note, I'm giving this 4 stars instead of 5 because I live in a dry climate so I'm a little concerned about the lifespan of the refill. Even still the packaging recommends to replace every two weeks, meaning buying refills every month which I feel could get expensive after a year. If you have a gnat problem or fruit flies this is worth it but for general day to day prevention I don't know how practical this could be against the refill cost.

I keep a couple in the kitchen for the fruit flies that appear from time to time. I also love how it will have a few mosquitoes that found their way into my home throughout the day. There is no smell and no chemicals to worry about. To me this is the best way to passively get rid of insects that appear in homes one way or another. This is my third trap in the house and one outside that tends to fill up a lot faster than ones inside. It's a good thing the trap refills aren't very expensive at all. Will continue the use of these for some time to come.

As fall turned to spring, the rise of mosquitoes and other flying insects has became very irritating to me and my family, so we placed a STEM Flying Insect Light Trap near our front porch and it has worked amazingly well. With its easy-to-replace sticky cartridge traps and no harmful chemicals, it's safe for my two young dogs and children. I highly recommend this light trap to anyone combatting pesky critters.

Simply peel both sides of refill and insert into the device. You will feel it "snap" into place. I love that it is chemical free. It is a good size ...approx 5 3/8" tall by 3". Zero smell which is great. The light is not super bright but definitely could definitely double as a night light. I can not say how well it actually works yet because I was only given 6 hours buy and review! With that said.... I can't imagine it wouldn't work with the "glue" being so sticky. I could tell it was pretty strong when peeling off the outer coverings on both sides and the light should definitely attract bugs.

I have friends who use light traps and they work great. I'm excited to use this during the summer when we have all the doors and windows open. The blue light doubles as a night light in our kitchen!

I liked that both sides are sticky. The light isn't too bright that it's in your face all the time either. The refills are easy to swap out and change.
