Unfortunately, I found it to have a very medicinal smell, not in a good way. I IIke when my dogs smell fresh and clean after a bath. That was not the result with this product.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this product for free for my honest review. I really love zesty paws products and this was my first time using the shampoo. While I liked the consistency (more liquidy so easier to spread on fur) the smell was so medicinal and not in a pleasant way. My dog continued to smell like that for an entire day. Not sure if the flea medication actually works - we did go camping after and he did not catch anything but can't attribute it to the shampoo. Overall fine shampoo but can't stand the smell.

It applies nicely and produces a decent lather. My dog did not have any current fleas. The smell was not as chemically as other brands but still had a very, very strong odor. It didn't seem like my dog liked it that much as he continued to snort for over an hour after the bath. His coat was shiny and smooth and the product rinsed out well during the bath. Overall I think it's a good option if you need to get rid of fleas, but the smell is definitely an issue for me.

Everything was great until I read the directions - which include "let the shampoo sit for 10 minutes and then rinse." Not sure about anyone else, but getting a bath is my dog's least favorite thing (by a mile) and there's no way he's going to sit there (wet and shampooed) for 10 minutes!!! If you have a dog that loves bathtime, this is a great product.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am huge on scents, the smell of this is kind average. I prefer a fruitier smell it lathers great and does seem to make her coat softer so it does have a lot of nourishing qualities to it and is not overly drying out of her fur and skin.
