[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Sunflower Seed Butter by SunButter is a winner! The kids can't have nut butters in school and this is a near perfect substitute. We made protein balls with it... and I kept going back for more!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great flavor. I think it's much better than peanut butter, personally, and this brand is what I regularly buy. I usually get the creamy variety with the red cap & label, and it's quite thick, comparable to most nut butters I've had. The one I tried this time was the natural variety (yellow cap & label). I've tried it before, and while it tastes the same as the regular creamy variety, it's always been runnier. This probably makes it better for certain recipes, like sauces, and worse for others, like sandwiches.

If you go into it knowing it won't taste like peanut butter, I think this is a great option. I also really like the different nutrients- it's an easy way to mix it up and add another plant to your diet.

I like that it didn't have that thick layer of oil on top like other nut butters I have tried. I enjoyed it with an apple. The calories are 200/tsp and 17g of fat. and 7g of protein, so definitely eat this in moderation.

I definitely prefer peanut butter but this would be great for people who can't have peanut butter. The consistency when much more liquidy than peanut butter. Flavor was pretty good.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] SunButter needs to find a way to make their product not insanely oily or liquidy. You can't spread it properly or truly enjoy it. I've seen other sun butters that are very thick. It would be nice for this to be thicker.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had never tried sunflower butter so I have no basis for comparison, but I did not like this product. I first tried it on toast and thought it had a bitter taste and a sticky texture. Also, it had a strange greenish hue. Next I tried it with jelly which helped a little to balance the bitterness, but it still wasn't great. I think I just don't like sunflower butter as much as I enjoy other nut butters.

I don't quite enjoy it as much as regular peanut butter - but definitely as much as I enjoy almond butter. It reminds me of the color of "cookie butter" but then not as sweet of course! It's a nice feeling knowing that it couldn't hurt any of my relatives with peanut allergies.
