I usually get the creamy variety with the red cap & label, and it's quite thick, comparable to most nut butters I've had. The one I tried this time was the natural variety (yellow cap & label). I've tried it before, and while it tastes the same as the regular creamy variety, it's always been runnier. This probably makes it better for certain recipes, like sauces, and worse for others, like sandwiches.

The taste, crunchiness and the consistency.... definitely a winner for me! i would completely replaces all of my peanut butter with this! The taste is better than peanut butter in my opinion. love that it has 1 more gram of protein than almond butter for the exact same amount. I went in to this with real peanut butter in my head, and that probably skewered my rating. If you can't have peanut butter, this would be a good alternative, but the consistency is too thin for my taste. And with a much higher price tag than PB, I don't think it's worth the switch.
