I researched and shopped a long time before purchasing this sauna. I'm not a purist or a sauna snob, I wanted something I could use quickly and not cost the same as a car but with an acceptable quality. If you can't build your own from scratch or afford to hire a sauna architect, this is the best affordable sauna kit on the market. After making a foundation, (Theoretically you can build it directly on the ground, but I wouldn't advise it. At the very least concrete paving tiles would work.) it took a helper and me two days to get it up and running (I'm a retired electrician so I wired it myself, but I recommend you use a pro if you don't know your way around a schematic). It takes 20 minutes to heat up to 180F, which is hot enough for me. I especially like being able to turn it on from inside the house. It was a bit tricky getting the remote controls working, but I finally got it. The first picture shows it before I stained it, the second after I stained it.

I am a Finn so I have been to many saunas in Finland, electric, wood burning, smoke and I have to say I am impressed with the Lennon sauna. Assembly was easy, instructions logical, everything in the design was great and it looks beautiful. I stained it outside to add to weather proofing and to better match it with my house. Yesterday was time to test it. I was surprised how fast the sauna heated. I set it to 80C and it was plenty to give nice and crispy "löyly". I feel like a real Finn again!

We ordered this sauna for our Airbnb property and it has been great so far! The setup took 12ish hours with two people. The instructions were helpful. I would recommend having a rope for putting it together. We didn't and it made it tricky to get everything aligned up top. The sauna heats up very quickly and we are happy with the purchase!

If you read the other reviews, then you will see and hear that this a great product. From purchasing, shipping, receiving, and instructions were great. Building it was great, you just have to make sure you read and look at the instructions. There are only 3 things that I say could be better. 1) The 120v light outlet should be incorporated into the control box. I feel this is an oversight here. 2) There should be a locking mechanism for the door and not just magnets to hold the door closed. This is fine in low wind locations or for people that do not have little kids. I think this is an oversight as well. 3) There needs to be a pan for water collection under the heater. When we first used it, I sat on the lower seat and found the hot water splashes on your feet. Yes it was hot!

We have had our Lennon sauna for 2 weeks now, and we have been in it almost every night!!!! My husband and I have an urban farm stay & farm experiences, and we wanted a sauna to not only help with our own health journey, but to also share with farm guests in the future. We loved the Lennon with the porch for its glass door so we could view the animals, the cedar looks and smells amazing, construction is solid! It took us about 10 hours to assemble, very clear instructions! The design is well thought out, and stunning in person. We've already had many farm guests asking about it, and commenting how nice it looks. We loved that the steel roof was included cause ours is outdoors. Has been heating up very quickly! Just overall impressed, and happy with our choice!

Such a great sauna. The ability to turn on by app and fast heat up time are great features. A straightforward build - the instructions and app make it really easy to follow. It took me one full day with a friend. The wood is great quality and holds the heat really well. Highly recommend!

When choosing between a barrel or a cube sauna, I opted for the cube because the two-tiered bench seating really appealed to me. It is a completely different level of heat on the higher bench! Also, having recently burned my arm on the heater in a small barrel sauna, I wanted to make sure that there was some distance from the heater if we chose to fit a few people in there. You really easily could fit up to 6 adults in there, but two people with each person having an entire bench to lay on is a peak spa experience. I assembled the sauna myself which took several days at a few hours at a time. I am a contractor, so I have tools that made the process straightforward. I personally found the assembly difficulty level low, but long. The product is shipped in several boxes which are not filled in any kind of chronological order. Each piece or bag of hardware has a numerical code on it. The instructions state to lay out all of the material in order to make it easier to assemble- but even doing so, much of the assembly time is spent trying to identify each part and making sure its the correct one. Again- not difficult if you are familiar with assembling things, but tedious. The heat output is insane! I typically set it to 160/170 and could not imagine going above that- though you certainly can. As others have stated, the wifi connectivity/ Tuya control app are not the best. The touchscreen control panel on the unit is also pretty bad. I almost completely avoid using the control panel and use the app to turn it on, but if you are not >10ft away from it, it usually has a connection error. To me, it's not a super big deal, but it can get irritating. This is the only reason for 4/5 stars. It has only been a few weeks and we are using it almost every day. It heats up very quickly, and I'm anxious to see how it performs in the winter months.

I paid to have it assembled and it's got multiple defects, gaps and the installer is very shady and doesn't respond to text as he's not finished the job. It also took 2-3 weeks sitting in boxes getting weathered but it was covered by me. I called Sam's Club several times which they contacted Backyard Sauna which put a little pressure on the installer and he came out. He gives you a date and time and never shows. His excuse was he had another job. Terrible experience and poor customer service.

Very poorly built sauna. The heater trips every time. I have to reset it. The one bench with no back rest sits at the bottom instead of half way up. Three internet connection doesn't work. The timer button on the LCD screen is broken. If it rains, the door warps soo bad that it doesn't fully close. No matter how many times I call support, and rearrange the rocks it still trips.

I cannot properly review the sauna itself because I have been unable to get it installed despite paying for installation service through Sam's Club. The sauna was delivered and left sitting in my driveway, but nobody contacted me to schedule installation. I spent over an hour on the phone being bounced between Sam's Club, Angi, and Backyard Discovery trying to determine who was actually responsible for the install. Eventually I was told that Backyard Discovery assigned the job to a third-party vendor, but nobody could provide me with an installation date or direct scheduling information. Meanwhile, the large crate is still sitting in my driveway creating HOA concerns because it cannot remain there indefinitely. At this point my frustration is not with the sauna product itself, but with the complete lack of coordination and communication regarding the paid installation service. If you purchase this product with installation included, be prepared for possible delays and difficulty getting clear answers on scheduling.
