My only complaint would be with how this product is packed shipped. I believe the box of Rid-X should be wrapped in plastic to prevent leakage. When I opened the package I noticed some of the product leaked from the box and was disbursed in the outer box and packing material. When I removed the box of Rid-X the stuff flew all over my kitchen. Not a good thing when one considers the warning printed on the box which reads: "CAUTION: Contains Bacterial Spores and Enzymes. May cause eye irritation. Avoid contact with eyes. Avoid breathing dusts. Individuals having known allergies, particularly to enzymes, as well as those with respiratory disease or disorders, should avoid contact with this product. Wash hands thoroughly after use."

First time I ordered and used it when our sewage line from toilet and kitchen was draining very slowly causing backflow of drain water to the bathtub which is at the lowest elevation. I checked the septic tank outside and found it full of floating hardened salt lumps, floating scums and very viscous settled sludges. I removed the salt lumps and stirred the sludges and scums to help activate the waste-eating bacteria. There was no improvement so I ordered this product to speed up the production of bacteria. I flushed the product through the toilet drain at midnight to achieve better residence period and production of bacteria in the septic tank. After 2 days the sewage drain line was no longer a problem. I inspected the septic tank and found only a minimal amount of scum and sludges, meaning that most of them were already eaten by the bacteria.

We have been using rid x for septic support for 40+ years. While I have never purchased 5 portions loose in one box, the perceived inconvenience of using a measuring cup (~1.5 cups ) opposed to just pouring the contents of an individual box in the commode and flushing is worth the savings.

i have lived in the same house since 1989 and my septic tank has never been pumped out- i use rid x on the first night of every month and let it set overnight and as long the following day as possible before flushing- it has served me well- that is 36 years of freedom from pumping bills - it is money well spent-

This is a good price and product. We have lived in our house for over 25 years and while I may miss a month occasionally, we have used this product regularly. We’ve only had our septic tank pumped once in all these years and have no others issues, so I would recommend it.

This this keeps my septic running well. I use it on a monthly basis and getting this large box really helps to keep and maintain my tank. The price for the larger box is so much less than I would pay for the smaller one that I get at the regular store.

Works like it should. Large size for multiple usage.

Used this product for years with excellent results
