Coving my hair evenly with application after shampooing, it already started to make my hair feel smooth. Its light weight formula didn't make my hair feel flat. It did seem to be smoothing to my hair, but at the same time made my hair feel dried out. don't know how to explain it. The scent was there but minimal, which was fine with me. It does seem to have some heavy conditioning ingredients so be careful not to apply to the scalp if you don't want greasy roots. It's a good product for the price but I would prefer a salon quality conditioner personally.
