This formula works better for my hair than it ever has in the past. I'm not sure if they reformulate it since the 90s, but it was quite nice. Not my favorite conditioner, but definitely not a bad one.. My curly, coily hair requires a little more conditioning agents than this one can provide, I guess. However, it did not drop my scalp out, it didn't leave my hair feeling like straw, It was quite soft just not as hydrated as I would like.

It cleaned my hair well without leaving it feeling dry or stripped, which I really appreciate. The scent is definitely strong and lingers in the hair so if you like noticeable fragrances, you'll probably enjoy it. I do want to mention that I do not currently have color treated here so I can't speak on how it performs for maintaining color. Overall, it leaves my hair feeling soft. It works well for me.
