The first purple mattress was purchased for myself 4 years ago. I have fibromyalgia and used to wake up with pain every day. I purchased the first mattress before they had the "extra" pillow top options available. I then purchased purple mattresses for my adult children three years ago. They had tried mine and slept so well. Two years ago we bought a twin mattress for a grandchild. Two weeks ago we purchased another twin, and two of the youth twin beds. Our family has thoroughly enjoyed our restful nights. I am the only one with a purple pillow. I wasn't sure how I would like it, but I doubt I will go back to another pillow type again. Our family loves to travel and we are always welcomed back home by the best beds we have ever had. Nothing compares to our purple mattresses for comfortable, pain free, restful sleep.

I have to say it's definitely a gamble buying a bed online without seeing it, touching it, or getting to lay on it like at traditional mattress stores. I took the plunge and went for it. Best decision I've made, the gel top layer is cushy, cradles your body and keeps you cool throughout the night. I find myself going to sleep and staying asleep through the night and waking up every morning refreshed and not like hung-over due to a lack of sleep. This bed is a life saver and with the added bonus that i don't disturb my husband when I wake up because the entire bed doesn't move when you get out of it. Which this is helpful since we work different shifts. Highly recommended to anyone looking for a new bed or to just replace your existing bed to get a good night's rest.

For disclosure, I've only had my Purple mattress for 3 weeks. I used to have back pain from sleeping on my old mattress but my Original Purple mattress made it disappear after a week! My mattress isn't as squishy as the worn out model was at the mattress showroom which is why I'm giving it 3.5 stars (for now). With time I hope to be able to give it 5 stars after breaking it in.

I have degenerative disc disease and arthritis in my lower spine and pain all throughout my spine. On my old mattress I would toss and turn and wake up the next morning in worse pain than when I went to bed with the night before. Now with having AND using the purple mattress for now 2 Weeks straight, I'm in love with the brand. I can go to bed with a 8 out of 10 on the pain scale and wake up the next morning with a 5 out of 10 on the pain scale. I know I will always have pain in my back for the rest of my life, but being able to wake up in the morning and NOT take almost 45 minutes or longer to just get out of bed is AMAZING.

I was very skeptical on this mattress, and I left the decision to the wife (since I picked the last mattress) and I am, I mean we are blown away. No more are the mid night wake ups from numb arms! No more being woken from each others movements. We are so pleased with our new mattress! Thank you sooo much for your advanced sleep comfort technology!

I'm not through 3 weeks yet sleeping on this mattress yet and I'm trying to give it a chance, but right now it is not the best mattress I've ever had and definitely not the best sleep I have ever had. I thought it would be softer. It may not be the right mattress for me.

My husband had seen ads for Purple online, and when it was time to shop, he mentioned it. I was a little leary about buying a mattress sight unseen or untested in person. But I buy EVERYTHING else online, so why not this? In my research, the brand continued to be recommended by third parties, other reviewers and so on. The price was extremely reasonable for a high end mattress. WE LOVE IT. The only problem I have now is traveling! I once loved hotel beds, but now they can't compete with home. You've ruined me for other mattresses!

I have never had such a great mattress in my life. It would normally take anywhere from 30 min to a hour to fall asleep. But this one I am out in 10 min or less. When I wake up, I feel rested and not sluggish. I recommend this for anyone that has discomfort while sleeping.

Man even at 22 years old I really needed this, at first I did not know to make the investment but wow!!! It has been one of the best investments I have done. I haveI have done by far. Now I am anxiously waiting for my pillow and if it is the same as my new bed man will I be a happy customer. If I also do like my pillow I will buy the sheets very soon also. By the way I have also gotten a very deeper sleep on this new bed and even though it might be kind of harder for me to get up in the mornings it is still a darn good feeling.

Like many others my, husband and I were tired of mattress's in stores. Many felt great for while we were laying on them in the store, but shortly after sleeping on them at home, they were either too firm, too soft or just plain uncomfortable. Both of us having bad backs, hips and pressure issues we tried pillow top, memory foam, latex, gel, innerspring , coil, you name it we had it. My husband was so fed up he was settling with the Stearn And Foster bed we had. I finally convinced him to let me research and look online. With a 100 day trial period and no shipping or return fees how could you go wrong? That is when I came across Purple, Puffy, Nectar and all the other online brands. Quite overwhelmed, I drove my husband crazy looking up reviews and watching you tube bed comparisons. I always ended up going back to Purple. Nervous, my husband wouldn't like the feel of the mattress I convinced him to go to Mattress Firm and test them out compared to other mattress's. The minute he lied down on the Purple mattress he was in love as well as myself. He would lay on The Purple mattress then try a Sealy, Tempurpedic or other store mattress and was convinced Purple was the one!!!! We went between the .3 and .4 for a good hour and a half and decided on the .4. You can really feel the difference between each of the Purple models. The .3 was quite comfy, but the .4 was that much more divine. A turkey weightless feel, but supported and comfortable in all the right areas. We also figured with us both being primarily side sleepers the .4 was slightly softer than the .3. Mattress Firm was awesome. They honored the Purple deal online that gave us two free purple pillows and the sheet set. We also purchased the mattress cover. We ordered everything on a Monday and was picking everything on Wednesday. The bed is heavy in the bag, I definitely got my workout, but once out of packaging it inflated fast with no off gas smell. The pillows had no off gas smell either and no powder some customers mentioned. The mattress cover is a stretchy silky material on the top with a waterproof layer in the bottom side. I immediately washed the sheets, I got in the color slate ( a great color by the way ) and put them on the bed. They are silky and very stretchy. Tonight will be our first night sleeping in the bed and I can't wait to go to sleep. FYI... Purple offers 100 day trial period, but if you purchase through Mattress Firm you get a 120 day trial period. Seriously though, I can't even imagine returning my Purple products. I'm already looking at buying more sheets since they are an amazing quality and the feel of them is this silky light weight feeling. We are looking forward to sleeping well with no more back and hip pain. Thank you Purple for you innovative approach to providing customers with the best support, comfort and sleep possible!!!!
