First, I got the bed from a thrift store where it was donated, it looked like new, For 4 weeks I sleep great, then, for some reason it got HOT, I mean hot, like a heating pad on 10. I even put a pad on it, I still felt like a steak cooking on the grill, Not sure what caused it to start heating up,almost over night, I keep my house cold at night(68). Maybe it was defective, who knows. Back to sleeping on my camping pad on the floor, hey it works and I don't wake up "well done" Good luck.

Please refer to my previous review for more detailed information. Personally, I'd enjoy if the Purple Mattress added a pillow top type feature. Something to give it more substance. I consistently woke up stiff because I feel as though I didn't sink enough into the bed. I prefer very soft beds. Still a fan of the mattress, but I had to add a memory foam topper to rectify the morning stiffness.

We have had this bed for 2 months and still love it. Our back pain went awat within a few weeks. I hope it is this comfortable in 10 years! It is very heavy so have help lifting it up the stairs. It stays nice and cool too. We feel better rested in the morning.

Cannot adequately express just how incredible this mattress is. As a long-term back injury sufferer, I thought that I was simply not going to be able to get a deep, restful night's sleep again. After my first week of sleeping on my Purple mattress, though, I am completely sold...and forever indebted to Purple!

My husband and I did a ton f research and finally decided on this mattress and we are not disappointed! W were looking for something on the firmer side so we went with the base mattress. This one is definitely for someone looking for a firm mattress. Took us a few days to get used to the different texture but now we are in heaven and sleeping better than ever. You MUST get the Purple sheets with the mattress! It is an entire experience.

I just received my queen size and power base, and I just ordered a topper, unfortunately. I spent my life sleeping on tempurpedic type toppers and my new mattress is just too hard. I love the power base, I just can't handle the hard right now. I had a pre-existing back injury, and this mattress was not forgiving. Maybe when that heals, I will be able to lose the topper . Also, I really missed my headboard, so stand alone will take care of that . Boy, I am really set in my ways LOL

My wife and I had received a really nice mattress a few years ago for our wedding, but it was a traditional spring mattress with a pillow top. While very comfortable, it had its drawbacks, including me walking up sore every morning. For a moment, while researching new mattresses, the price made me hesitate, but the 100 nights try out time sold me and we went for it. It took a few weeks to get the mattress, but oh my god it was so worth the time and money. We got the regular king sized mattress (not the hybrid) and it is literally the greatest thing I have ever purchased. I will never buy a different brand. I have never slept better. If you are reading this and not sure about getting a Purple mattress, just do it. It is so worth it. Oh, and I've never been able to sleep on my back and now I can no problem. My wife loves it, too. We went with really nice sheets, too, since I guess stretchy bamboo sheets are the way to go.

The purple bed sucks. Purple sucks. I don't have anything nice to say about the company or the mattress. Maybe the new new purple beds are better, but the old new purple bed is just terrible. Its way too hard, except for the one little inch of squishy top layer. Unless you're an egg, that sleeps under a piece of glass, you'll hate the new old purple bed.

We are very satisfied with this bed. It has just the right combination of support and comfort. There was a bit of an adjustment period for us in the beginning, but that lasted for only about a week. But now we actually get a little excited about going to bed, thanks in part to this mattress. Ordering was also easy, as well as unpacking. Thank you Purple!

Was looking for a new mattress and was on a budget. Their advertisement was intriguing but was it really true? Absolutely...I am sleeping better. I have less pain to no pain. It is cooler and supportive it all the right places. I am thrilled with the purchase and impressed by the quality and execution of this company. Terrific Job!
