By far, Purple is the most comfortable mattress that I have ever slept on. Pure happiness since day one -- to the point that I actually giggled to myself when I laid down that first night. I am a dentist, so neck and back pain were a common thing for me every morning. I haven't woken up with either of those since sleeping on this mattress, and I can actually feel the mattress supporting me (especially my lower back) while I sleep. I am so thankful to finally have a mattress that is this wonderful and actually gives me an amazing night of sleep every time. I can't imagine sleeping on any other mattress!

I know this review is long, but I want to be thorough. The Mattress Itself: I wish I had listened to the 1 star reviews before purchasing our mattress. My fiancé and I ordered the Purple mattress hoping that Purple's claims of innovation and comfort would hold true, but soon came to realize that Purple just has a really good marketing team. The mattress was extremely firm and we both experienced excruciating back, hip, and shoulder pain. Purple claims: "The Purple® Mattress is made from a patented Hyper-Elastic Polymer which can help prevent back, hip, and shoulder discomfort." Interesting. Their pillows also have a design flaw that pushes air into your ears and causes pain. The Return Process/Customer Service: When we went to return our mattress, we were informed that Purple does not have a delivery service that they will have come pick up your mattress, they will "try" and find someone to pick it up as soon as they can, but they are in Utah so there is only so much they can do. They will even ask for your assistance in finding someone to come pick it up the mattress that you were not satisfied with - whether that be a charity, disposal company, and they went as far as to suggest that I "ask my local pastor". Since we wanted to return the mattress they tried to charge us for the promotional frame that originally came for free (which was bent and extremely difficult to put together). Purple says you have 100 days to return the mattress. What they do not tell you is that those 100 nights include you proving to them that the mattress has been junked or is in the hands of a charity. If you give the mattress a chance for 90 nights and call on the 90th day, but no one can come pick up your mattress within 11 days (which is out of your control) you are out of luck & will not get a refund so beware of all of this. Our refund also took almost 2 weeks to receive. They will most likely leave a generic, automated, very impersonal response to my review as they do for all low star reviews. Telling me to call customer service. I have and that is what prompted me to write this review. Thanks for reading hope this helps.

Absolutly amazing. I have back and shoulder issues from my time in the military. My girl friend and I got a purple mattress as she needed a new one. It was amazing from the first night. I would wake up with oit an alarm and be ready for the day. I had to make sure I had a pulse a few times because waking up without any pain was a foreign concept to me. I was amzed that I didnt hurt in the mornings and instead of feeling like I had been hit by a truck in the mornings I felt refreshed and rested. Further more she suffers from Eckler's danlos syndrome. Its a miserable disorder the causes chronic pain yet she woke up with no to minimal pain everyday. This mattress provided Superior comfort and is cost-effective. Honestly I feel that it cost way less then it's worth. You will get more than your money's worth with this mattress.

Overall this is a good mattress. I am a side sleeper and don't move much since switching to the purple mattress. I have noticed that in the last couple weeks when I wake up my arm on the side I am sleeping on has gone to sleep since I'm not moving around as much while sleeping.

I purchased a mattress with the adjustable foundation. I have a couple of medical conditions (GERD/Sleep Apnea) that necessitate the need to sleep a bit upright and trying to sleep on 2 or 3 pillows wasn't working for me. I took me about 4 days to get used to the new mattress/position, but now I know long toss and turn. I'm sleeping more soundly, I'm no longer coughing in the middle of the night, and I hate to get out of bed in the morning. The mattress is way more comfortable than the Tempurpedic my parent's have. For a side sleeper, too firm or too soft can be an issue. For me the feel is just right and I love that I can read in bed comfortably now.

I'll admit, I was super hesitant to purchase a bed online. I went to one mattress store, with less confidence in buying anything there when laying on a few beds for a couple of minutes. Not to mention, I felt very awkward laying there with people looking at me. I've had long term history of severe hip/back/neck/shoulder pain (sports injuries & accident). My husband recently had a bad spell with his lower back (dirt bike riding enthusiast). I spent a few weeks researching several companies. I chose The Purple Mattress based on reviews alone via YouTube. I purchased the purple mattress, pillow, mattress protector, and received the sheets for free as the special. The mattress was delivered first, and everything else a few days later. Delivery timing was good though, much better than I anticipated, based on reviews (no issues for me)! The mattress was good from the start, a little firm feeling, so I thought, but I really do think my body needed to get used to the difference of how I was SUPPOSED to be laying! I noticed I needed a different pillow, since I didn't have the purple pillow yet. My head felt much lower with a semi-cheap pillow I've had way too long. I wake up feeling more refreshed! We don't ever wake each other up by moving around in the night. That might be one of my favorite parts. I kept my husband from a good night's sleep before with our old mattress. Every time I tossed or turned, he would wake up. I moved A LOT! My husband's back issues were gone within a few days (mostly back sleeper + side some)! Since my issues are more severe, I still have some pain in my shoulders, but nothing like the pain I felt sleeping on our previous mattress (side sleeper)! It really does get better and better! I almost can't wait to crawl into bed at night! That said, the purple pillow is what probably made our minds up 100% on keeping everything. Once the pillow arrived, we both thought, no way, this is way too flat, not going to work! I noticed a difference the first night sleeping how much nicer the bed felt with my head placed at the right height! My old crappy pillows would be full in the beginning of the night and within an hour I would wake up to adjust! This never goes flat and it's not too flat like we both were thinking! It's perfect! It makes my head feel like it's floating in a good way. Now having it a month I am not sure how I slept with anything different. Reviews had me prepared for a strong odor and they were correct. I'd say there is a hint of odor even after a month. I really could care less though. I'll never have another pillow other than The Purple Pillow. Worth every penny. I can even tell the air flow is awesome! One night I had my hair damp from showering before bed and I woke up chilled on my scalp from air circulating well! I'm not complaining! That means less of me waking up to turn my pillow over to have a cool side! The mattress protector is so soft and stretchy for a protector. I guess that's the most I've noticed about it since it's so new. I haven't spilled anything on it yet to know if it works properly or not. The slate sheets are so soft and unbelievably stretchy. Everything is perfect for us and we couldn't be more happy with our purchase! We are forever Purple customers!

I love my Purple Mattress! I no longer wake up with pressure soreness in my hips and shoulders. My back doesn't hurt anymore and I sleep great. I don't think I turn over but maybe twice a night where before I was tossing and turning all night, sometimes never falling asleep. Highly recommend the Purple Mattress!

Our King Purple has helped tremendously with my back pain. I used to be in a lot of pain and literally had to get out of bed after about 5-6 hours because I couldn't stand it anymore. Now at least I can stay in bed for as long as I like or have time for. Thanks!

I'm pretty sad about this. The fumes from the mattress are so noxious that every single day that I wake up I feel sick. I've tried airing out by not making the bed and removing all coverings. Which reminds me, I hate the fact that someone scribbled initials that read MAD on my mattress. Would a little fabric, showing who inspected have really thrown the budget?. I toss and turn, wake up with lower back aches. I'm still trying to give it a chance because I really, really want to like it but it's actively working against being liked. In conclusion noxious fumes and grafitti bring it down to a one star.

It's just as amazing as it's nearly perfect 5-star rating would have you believe! The sheets and the mattress protector are definitely worth the purchase too - we tried sleeping on it with our old mattress protector, and it definitely impacted the comfort of the mattress. The sheets and the mattress protector that purple sells are extra stretchy, which makes them super comfy, AND it lets you take full advantage of the way the mattress gives and supports you in all the right ways!
