What makes the difference for somebody? Great products and god awful customer service. Good products and exceptional customer service. It made me smile looking at these other reviews to know I'm not the only one who had the worst possible experience with Purples customer service. Love their bed, will never buy anything from them again solely based on principle. Casper will do just fine. The only thing they did right was appropriatelye refer me to a sheet company called Sheex that have amazing sheets but ALSO exceptional customer service. Sincerely, A loyal customer and advocate you just lost.

I recently told a friend of mine that I didn't think I'd ever buy a mattress online because I preferred to test it out in the store first. For some reason, after reading reviews on all of the different mattresses (and having a horrible customer experience at a different retailer) I decided to buy the Purple mattress. All of this talk about pressure point relief & "best sleep you'll ever have". Nope. The mattress was not wrapped the way the instructions said they would be, and it was a nightmare to get it out. Got my workout for the day. Still, I couldn't wait to climb into bed that night & get the first good sleep I've had in years. Nope. It's firm, which I wasn't expecting. I still have to shift around during the night because my shoulder or my hip is sore. I've had it for 2 weeks now. I know they say to give it 30 days, but it sure seems like I should've seen some improvement by now. I got about 4 hours last night. Is it going to be worth the hassle to return it? I don't know. What I do know is that I have never spent this much on a mattress before, and I can definitely say it wasn't worth it. I'm so sad & disappointed.

I love this mattress! Ever since i was a teenager i would have to get a new mattress every 6 months to a year, my back is simply "the worst". My husband and i bought the purple mattress and I notice a huge difference from week 1; Seriously? no more back pain at all?? I love going to bed at night and coming home from work to take a nap on it, my chiropractor no longer knows my name (trust me this is a good thing). It's bouncy, not too hot, sleeping with my husband isn't an issue (until i want the bed for myself)... This list of positives could go on forever, It really is the best mattress and night sleep I've ever had!

I had been anticipating purchasing a Purple Mattress after seeing the Goldielocks ad about a year ago. I recently moved and bought the mattress and the Purple Foundation! I love the mattress, it's comfortable to both lay in or sit and do some work. It supports my books and laptop without them sinking into the abyss like my old bed, and the foundation is very stylish as well as being a good height! I found the foundation easy to put together and the bed unrolled seamlessly and was full sized in minutes. I love it so far and plan on keeping it a long time!

Before I got the mattress I was thinking MAYBE I would get used to it within the time they recommend. I was very skeptical that it was as great as they said. I don't exaggerate... I'm a stickler for describing things exactly as they are... so, I'm not exaggerating when I say that pain in my back was gone the NEXT day; pain that had been there to different degrees of intensity for a long time. It is so comfortable. It feels soo good. We stayed in a hotel a few days after we got it and I missed it. I look forward to getting into bed every night. My overall joint pain (hips, shoulders, back) is not GONE... but it is significantly reduced and again, was noticeably different the very first night. I would recommend it to anyone... how can you go wrong with the money back guarantee?

Maybe for other people but after 6 months the purple 2 started sinking in spots and after many years in the military, what I sleep on matters a lot. They did replace it but I've had this for a month or so and it's already worse than the previous, so bad that I dread sleeping on it. I will have to contact them on a refund at this point.

I was so excited to get my new purple2 mattress. I read reviews they were great. Then it arrived. It just wasn't that comfortable but my husband and I decided to listen to Purple's advice and give it a month or so. We did but it was never great like promised. It got a little better but after three months are so it started getting less and less comfortable. We are now to the point where we both feel like we are crippled every morning. Unfortunately we will have to live with it until we save the money to buy something better. Buyer beware. The purple is no better than a cheap foam mattress.

This is hands down the most comfortable bed that my hubby and I have ever purchased. We used to suffer from neck and back pain with our sleep number and ever since we started sleeping on this mattress, it was like magic! No more pain!! Love love love! I'm recommending it to family and friends! And just received my free seat cushion today. Can't wait to try it out at work! Thank you Purple!!

The only reason I give four stars isn't by fault of the Purple team, or the product for that matter... it's mainly bc I haven't quite figured out what's going on with me. I thought sleeping on this mattress and pillow would be instant bliss, and forever great sleep. About half the time it is, but the other half I wake up with a pain in my neck and back. It's like sometimes the mattress is perfect, then others it's almost as if it's too soft for me. My wife is in love with it, and I for the most part am also. I'm not sure if my pillow height is not correct or what it is, but the strange thing is that it's not every night. I will say though that I toss and turn exponentially less, and am far more comfortable on it than ANY bed before it, I've just got to figure out this pillow thing I guess. It came with two risers and at first I didn't use either. At that point my back was billing me, but then I started using one of the risers and it got much much better, but still not 100 percent. I tried with both but instantly it felt too high and extremely uncomfortable. I did have to deal with customer service at one point on another issue and they helped them and there with no issues and they were extremely friendly. All in all I would most definitely recommend, and already have, to others. Thanks Purple.

We have always had Sleep Number beds and tried to order another one and the customer service was so bad we cancelled. We thought we would try Purple and we love it. It's so much better than sleep Number as it seems to control temperature, support and you don't feel the other person moving. The only thing it doesn't do is keep my husband from snoring
