Finding a bed that works for me is a tough problem to solve. See, I was born with a tumor in my spinal cord. I had major back surgery at just two years old, which included permanent removal of parts of my lumbar and lower thoracic vertebrae. Nearly 40 years and 400 lbs later, I'm severely disabled, bound to a wheelchair other than a few transfer steps with the aid of a walker. I live in constant pain, and typically couldn't sleep for more than about five hours at a time without waking up in horrible agony from lower back pain. My king-sized Original Purple Mattress is everything they say it is. I can sleep as long as I want now! Yes, I'm still in great pain when I get out of bed, though less than before... but while I'm in my Purple, I'm in very little pain, if any at all. Every time I get into bed, my spine goes through what I call a "decompression period" in which my pain levels skyrocket. After it decompresses, I can't get back up for a time, as my discs are very sensitive and tender during that time. With every other bed I've used, that decompression period is about 15-20 minutes, and the subsequent "can't get back up" period is at least two hours. With my Purple, decompression is down to maybe 2-4 minutes, and I can get back up less than an hour later if I have to. I can -feel- how well-aligned my spine is. It's amazing! So far, about two months into using it, it's holding up very well. I had a Tuft and Needle previously that gave up any support or firmness within two weeks and just became a saggy mess under my weight. The Purple is holding its firmness nicely, and feels just like it did the day I got it. Moving around and rolling over isn't as hard as I feared. Memory foam or pillow-top coil spring mattresses are difficult for me to move around on with my disability. I worried that the Purple would be even worse, given how much give there is in the top layer of hyperelastic polymer, but it's actually the opposite. It manages to be firm enough for easy movement, yet still soft enough to cradle pressure points, just like they say! If you're worried that this is all just very clever advertising (which admittedly, it is amazing!), and that this is just another mail order mattress, don't. It's just what they claim it to be. It's the one that's different. The patents don't lie! The specific nature of the ads don't lie either (they don't just talk about how well you'll sleep, they show you what's different about it and why, and that's a key difference!) If you have back problems, if you're very heavy, if you have difficulty adjusting to new beds or sleeping through the night, you owe it to yourself to buy a Purple ASAP!

This mattress is pretty supportive, I haven't woken up with any back pain yet. BUT the bed to me isn't actually what I would call comfortable. It's pretty firm. If you run your hand on the mattress you can feel the purple gird, which just feels a little odd. Had we laid in the bed before we bought it, we probably wouldn't have! Since we have it and are generally pain free in the mornings, we decided just to keep it. It's an okay mattress, but we're mainly keeping it for the 10 year warranty since most of our beds have start to sag within a couple years

My Purple mattress is the bizness! I immediately fall asleep when I lay down and no twisting or turning while I'm asleep due to the technology in the mattress design which helps reduce/eliminate back pain. I would definitely recommend this product and buy again in the future. Good night!

Last year I replaced an old spare bedroom mattress with a memory foam, not a bad upgrade. I slept on it a few times while we were painting our bedroom and it was not bad at all. We were fortunate enough to buy a new house a few months ago that has a huge bedroom so now it's time for a new bedroom with a king bed!! yay!! Ok, what mattress to buy? I keep seeing ads for the Purple, but the price was a little higher than the memory foam, but it was a lot less than the other mattresses so since there was a 100% refund option if we didn't like it, we decided to try the Purple. WOW! , what a difference! I usually wake up every two hours all night long, but in the last 6 days I have slept all night long without waking up, it's been years since I slept this good! I got a free set of sheets with the bed as a promo and wow these things are awesome too. I'm generally very hard to please, but I am just ecstatic With this setup. Now, I need a couple of those pillows!!

I finally decided to get a new mattress and after searching and making a decision on Purple, I made the right choice. I sleep better than ever and feel so comfortable, my back was bothering me a bit but now that discomfort is gone. Wouldn't mind making the same choice next time around.

We bought this mattress for our camper (we camp a LOT and need a comfortable mattress), we are so happy we made the decision to buys a purple. We love it so much that we are buying another one for our house! I have a very achy back and when I sleep on the purple my pain is relieved, it's AMAZING! I would recommend it to anyone!

Me and my wife have been sleeping on the Purple mattress Queen size for about a month now. It took my body about a week and a half to get adjusted to the bed. It is a firm but yet soft bed, But my wife does not need a pillow for her knees now and shes sleeping the best she has ever slept. I would recommend getting the bed and trying it out.

The mattress is just as advertised. It's very comfortable, you wake up with very little to no back pain, and you sleep better. My husband and I chose this mattress because we both had back pain every morning when we woke up, and now we no longer do. When we purchased the mattress, I was 6 weeks pregnant, and I am now 15 weeks along and I am SO glad we choose this mattress! My back thanks me. I would most certainly recommend to anyone and everyone.

I bought a mattress for my guest bedroom and slept on it for a few nights. It had a strong odor that took a few days to go away. I ordered another a few days later for my master bedroom. The second mattress arrived and it had no odor at all. What's the difference?

We were long overdue for a new mattress and came from one of those air mattresses. The mattress was so easy to set up, my wife and daughter handled it all once it was dropped off at our doorstep. Although our bodys took a few days of adjusting, we are two months in and just love it! Super comfortable, and just all around awesome. The mattress is awesome, but the time delay of getting the bed frame was not so great. We ordered everything January 6th, and the bed frame JUST shipped, April 6th. In this day and age a delay like that is not acceptable. Again, mattress, AWESOME. Time delay on shipping the frame, NOT AWESOME.
