The first month was just ok. Gave it time. The mattress continued to get worse. Both my husband and I are in horrible pain every morning & restless thru the night. I hate to toss an expensive bed in the trash, as I'm still making monthly payments. UGGG! Never again Purple. DO NOT DO IT!

I'm 250 pounds and my chief worry was that the Purple would be too soft. No such problem. If anything, the Purple isn't soft enough. While my pressure points DO sink into the gel (excuse me: "hyper-elastic polymer"), it doesn't quite give enough for me. I will say that my back pain is less with the Purple, but not gone. And this mattress is not "temperature neutral" or "sleeps cool". It's cold. As in "suck the life out of you" cold. The gel is a giant, full-length heat sink. Our house is 70 degrees and when you get into bed, you are lying on a 70 degree heat sink that you sink into slightly. After a few really difficult nights, I dug out an old electric blanket that we hadn't used in years and put that on the bed. I run the electric blanket for about an hour before going to bed and the mattress is MUCH more comfortable to sleep on. After 30 days on Purple, I'm still not decided as to whether I will keep it or not.

Once I got this bed, It took a few nights to adjust to this bed after getting rid of my old pillow top. The bed definitely supports all areas of my body that my old mattress did not do. The firmness level is more on the firm side but not to bad and from being on a pillow top for years, I don't mind it and got use to it and it's quite lovely. After getting getting use to the bed, I no longer toss and turn and I'm out like a light. I'd say if there is one thing now that hurts when I wake up it's my neck. (Old pillows). My body though is in a deep sleep and I started dreaming again. Weird.... Anyways, try this bed. It's pretty awesome.

I absolutely LOVE my purple mattress! It is perfect in every way...except one. I have trouble finding sheets that fit properly because the mattress is so much thinner than the average mattress on the market today. I ever bought the recommended Sheex brand despite their extreme price. They still don't fit well and bunch up underneath me while I'm sleeping. On the up side, I can't remember the last time (before my purple) that I woke up and didn't hurt somewhere. I have always struggled with back pain and used to build what my husband called my "pillow fort" around me to support various joints and get relatively comfortable. Now I sleep with 1 pillow under my head and one to hold onto. I also love that I no longer have to change my shirt in the middle of the night! Since I was pregnant with my first of 3 children nine years ago, I've suffered from terrible night sweats. I'd wake up and change my shirt because it was so wet. But now, I sleep cool as a cucumber in my purple! I really can't say enough about this wonderful bed! Now, if someone would just make reasonably priced sheets to fit it, I'd be in sleep heaven!

The first night that I slept on my Purple Mattress I slept 9 hours and did not wake up at all during the night. I am amazed at how comfortable it is and I don't get too hot or too cold. I absolutely love the Purple Mattress! I highly recommend the Purple Mattress!

My side is fantastic. Me and my partner both agree this is the best mattress we've ever had. However, he claims that the material settles in such a way that his body leaves a slight impression that he sinks into. My idea is that it's the foam underneath that's settling, since the purple material feels the same to me. I told him well rotate the mattress to get the foam the same on both sides; Still--fantastic mattress!! Great buy!

I noticed the mattress felt best when I lay on it without a bed cover and sheet. But with the bed cover and sheet im noticing the weight does not distribute as evenly. I will be trying to find more elastic sheets to help with this. I aim noticing some slight drops but nothing significant. however, I have not woke up in pain yet! So that's a great start!

I've been an insomniac for a couple decades now. In the past 5 years in my Sleep Number bed, not only did I not sleep but I had pains in my sides and my back and my neck, so when I got up in the morning I was not only still sleepy, but also in pain. I'm very sorry to say that the Purple bed hasn't helped me sleep through the night, but the bed itself is so comfortable that my pain is gone. That's super important, definitely worth 5 stars! And my husband loves it too!

The order/delivery process was simple and mattress unwrapping was easy. I have been falling asleep faster than on my old mattress, and do not feel like I was hit by a car when I wake up. I used to wake up with sore hips and back, I do not any longer.

The mattress itself is surprisingly comfy and although it's hard to identify why... no more backaches in the morning mean that "it just works".... My only complaints that bother me daily is that with the frame (purchased seperately) it just feels like a big campbed. The whole set up is quite light and it moves around easier and we are not big people. The other isnthe sizing, you may as well throw all your sheets away as they just don't fit. For me that seemed like a big miss... I had a lot of really nice and expensive that I can't use, so you're left with having to buy theirs (which are very nice). Overall, not parting with it...period. In about 30 days now and sleeping better than ever before.
