I originally had a cheap foam mattress from OverStock and within 3 years, I've built so much neck/shoulder pain. After watching the info-commercial on the Purple mattress, I was very interested! However, before purchasing the mattress, I decided to try the Seat Cushion first for a couple of weeks (since, I sit at my desk all day) and if the seat cushion felt good, then that was my deciding factor to purchase the mattress. I can't live without the seat cushion, so I was definitely sold on the mattress. Took the chance, since I couldn't try out the mattress in person. It was all worth it! I've been having great sleep and less body aches! What a huge difference a mattress could make. Thank you Purple!!!

I am a combination back and side sleeper. I was having intense back pain pretty frequently and I thought it was from sitting at my desk at work all day, but I remembered sleeping on my moms Purple mattress a year ago and having the best sleep of my life, so I decided to buy one for myself. Guess what? No more back pain! I sleep through the night! I love feeling the support whether I am sleeping on my back or on my side. 10/10 highly recommend Purple.

Spent a lot of time researching mattresses and looking for quality reviews, especially over time. As a side sleeper I've struggled with pressure on my shoulders and I have no regrets after getting a Purple. I equally enjoy the pillow that came free with it. Definitely wasn't what I expected, which made for the best suprise. I just wish the new mattress models fell into my price range or I would have gotten the 3".

While I feel the mattress does a good job supporting my spine, I just can't get comfortable. It's fairly firm so I don't find it comfy and inviting. Additionally, when I lay on my back I feel like my bottom sinks into the mattress and it puts an arch in my back. I don't sleep on my back so this isn't too big of a problem, but I would definitely like to be comfortable when I do choose to lay on my back. I just don't love it, I don't really enjoy sleeping on it, and I'm waking up with some lower back pain and neck pain. I plan to return the mattress soon. For reference, I always sleep on my side and I'm 5'8, 155 lbs.

Overall the Original Purple Mattress is great. It is however a bit on the firm side. This is something I can get used to and it certainly makes for a pain-free posterior chain, but just a tad softer would be nice. The Purple Pillow is fantastic; if the firm-but-softness of the bed could be closer to that of the pillow it would make for an ideal mattress for me.

After doing a lot of research on matteress' we finally tried out this one. We were kinda skeptical about it having the top different than others we have used but we are sleeping better now than ever! My wife is pregnant and is sleeping better now on this matteress than she did before on the other matteress before she was pregnant! Definitely very happy with this choice.

I was a little worried after reading articles comparing mattresses that said this wasn't ideal for stomach sleepers. But they were a bunch of scallywags. I sleep on my side and stomach and LOVE this mattress. I am a big girl and it has held up so wonderfully. I'm in the process of convincing my boyfriend to get one so I dont have to be without it at his house! The price is a bit steep but the monthly payment option is what made me choose this one over another and I wouldn't change it for anything.

Bought mattress for my elderly parents and the shipping by Fed-Ex was delayed 2 times. When it was finally delivered, the box was left outside and the delivery person didn't ring or knock to alert them of the delivery. We were later informed that it was signed for by someone that didn't exist in their complex. They got help to move it inside and they love it.

several years ago I injured my back, ever since it has been hard to get a really good night sleep and this last year has been awful, tossing and turning, waking every hour bc of the pain, it had gotten to a point where I had trouble getting out of the bed and then when I did I couldn't stand up strait until I did all my stretches... It has been a nightmare I was willing to try anything when we found purple. I was kind of scared bc reading all the reviews it seems to be hit or miss, but we tried any way. The first night I don't remember! We set everything up went to bed, and I woke up the next morning, I was in shock! I couldn't remember what that was like. I fell asleep fast, stayed asleep, was comfortable and woke up feeling so much better like worlds better. Now I know I am raving a bit I'm just so excited. It is not a miracle cure or anything I do still have back pain in the morning which will probably never go away, but after only a few weeks of having this bed my husband and I are both sleeping so much better. And bonus, I don't feel anything when my husband comes to bed! He has always been like a lumbering ox causing a giant earth quake getting into bed. He hasn't woken me up once. So it is a hit with us and we love it! The only 2 things that annoyed us a little bit was how long it took to get here, and the mattress showed up a week before the frame so we had to wait to set everything up. But the help line was good about answering our questions and it was worth the wait. The second thing is they introduced the adjustable bed frame after we ordered and we would have really liked to try that out as well but that item is very expensive for our budget, prob not much we can do about that though. We traded up from some version of Tempur Pedic to the Purple base, mattress, and sheets. Our previous mattress was probably 6-8 years old. The base is great. It's light and easy to set up, as long as your feet and legs fit in the little openings so you can reach the connection points in the center. It provides a solid, stable base for the mattress, and makes zero squeaking or rattling sounds. The sheets are awesome. Soft, smooth, stretchy, just the right weight, what seems like huge elastic around the fitted sheet so it doesn't come untucked at the corners. Highly recommended. The mattress is heavy. Like, really heavy. They are not kidding when they say you need a helper. We had to adjust our bedskirt after getting the mattress unrolled on the base and I thought we were going to have to rent a crane. That being said, it's comfortable and doesn't get hot like the Tempur Pedic did. We are actually able to use our fancy, heavy duvet to sleep under instead of the lightweight blanket we've been using for years, just because the mattress stays cooler. I am a light, side sleeper, and I tend to toss and turn all night because my shoulders and hips get sore. I was hoping this mattress would finally give me a good night's rest, but alas, I still toss and turn because of sore shoulders and hips (although it's mostly my hips now). My wife is a heavy sleeper, and she enjoys the mattress but says it isn't a significant improvement over the previous one (other than being cooler). Since we needed a new mattress anyway, I'm happy with the Purple as a replacement, but I'm disappointed that it wasn't the life-changing upgrade I'd hoped for. A good night's sleep still eludes me, unless I give in and take some sort of sleeping pill.
