So I was skeptical 100% about this mattress but the results were clear in the first week. I read this and that between purple and ghost bed and I didn't know what to choose but since it offered a month guarantee or return it I said it couldn't hurt. At the first 3 days, i felt like this was uncomfortable and not what I thought my body didn't adjust right. That actually was purple realigning our bodies to how it should be! I was waking up cracking my back neck arms everything that my girlfriend thought I died. With purple, i would instinctively just try to crack my neck and back when I wake up and not one crack. On the first two days, this bothered me like how? why? and then it hit me purple is fixing me up day 1. Ever since it's been a month almost and I sleep cool, calm, and instant with no pains whatsoever. If you do feel pains like I did the first week it's your body adjusting back to how it should be. Purple was the best choice for me for a while and I will definitely get the pillows and other things in the future!

Great bed. Very comfortable and I always wake up refreshed. I've never had any luck with mattresses and while it would seem okay, after a week or two I would have to convince myself that the mattress was a good buy. If I'm trying to convince myself, I'm forcing a false thought that the mattress is great. Not with the Purple. No convincing needed. I've had it for a month and in my opinion is one of the best purchases ever.

I don't mean to over emphasize the firmness of the mattress, but it is quite firm in my opinion. I bought the original as this mattress was to just be an upgrade to my parents older guest room mattress. I was having a horrible time with shoulder pain and I'm on an extended visit, so I figured if I couldn't pack the mattress home then I'd at least have a comfy bed for my return visits. The original impression was good. I felt comfortable and supported. After a few weeks on the mattress I definitely need something more conforming to my larger frame and side sleeping habits.

We purchased the mattress a year ago and loved it. Unfortunately, one side started having issues. When I contacted the company, they said it must have been defective. Purple sent me a new mattress -- even though my original purchase was over a year ago! You can't pay for that type of customer relations! This company definitely stands behind their product. I love them!

I know people researching mattresses, especially those from the online marketplaces, look at Purple and say it's too expensive, but you have to put it in perspective. Purple is not comparable to those other mattresses. The competition we're looking at here are things like Sleep Number and TempurPedic. Both of which I'd say are inferior to Purple for a couple of reasons which I know don't apply to everyone. The sleeping temperature is dramatically cooler than memory foam, and the support is better than sleep number. There are different versions of these beds that overcome those limitations, but even the original Purple is able to compete with the top-of-the-line products from their actual competition. So when you compare Purple to inexpensive options like Casper, you'll never really know what a value Purple is. Its value comes from the way it competes with even the best for overall comfort.

I got the Original Purple Twin for 599 + tax and I also bought the upsell, the Harmony Pillow + SoftStretch Sheets + Mattress Protector. The only thing I could recommend is the SoftStretch Sheets, it's good quality and feels good and of course it may be overpriced for many of you. The Mattress Protector, since it's sandwiched between SoftStretch Sheets and the mattress itself, I can't see it, I can't feel it. I can't neither recommend it nor not recommend it to you. It is just a Mattress Protector, may as well be any other brand. No one has pee on my bed yet so I dont know whether the Purple Mattress Protector will hold up but I have faith it will. Ok, let's get to the point and talk about the Purple Original Matttress Twin, I had a high expectation on it before I bought it but after I started using it for the 1 time, I started having my doubt. It's way too soft. I sink into it. Let me give you a little perspective with my point of view. I am 5"10, 190 pound. I have used tradition mattress, 2 different brand of memory foam mattresses. I enjoy the memory foam mattress the best so far. I thought Purple mattress will be a bit unique due to the Gel technology, what is feel like sleeping on it just like a very poor quality memory foam mattress. I can't really feel the Gel at all. I am glad Purple has the 100 day money back guarantee, I will continue to sleep on it until day 80 and then call the customer service to have them pick up the mattress and get my full refund. That is my plan. By the way, the Harmony pillow, the 1st night I sleep on it, it was great. After that, not so great any more so I can't recommend it. Moral of my story, buy Purple SoftStretch Sheets & skip everything else lol

My back curves slitely more than everyone else's and with this I am not able to sleep on my belly like others can. I can't even lay on carpet for more than a minute or to on my belly before I start to have pain. I am over joyed to say that with the purple I can lay on my belly all night if need be and not have any issues. I scarcely believed it myself at first, but everyone night the purple continues to prove its worth ! Hands down the best pruchase We made ! My wife shoes everyone that comes over how comfortable it is !

I feel cradled and supported at the same time. No hardness-causing pain, while no sinking down like drowning. I tend not to wake up in the middle of the night now, & if I do I fall back to sleep quickly. It's like being softly caressed. I've had the mattress 3 1/2 wks.

My husband and I did extensive research before purchasing our mattress. Purple seemed to be the best mattress for our needs (we wanted a memory foam or similar, with cooling properties, good for side/stomach/back sleeping). My husband loves the Purple mattress. He no longer complains of back pain and loves that it takes pressure off of joints. I guess I am harder to please. I don't find that the mattress stays cool at all, in fact it is hotter than our old, plain coil-style mattress. It is definitely soft and pressure-relieving but I find it almost too soft. That is just a personal preference I suppose. For my back pain, I feel it is just a bit too soft. Overall, for the price, I find it to be a decent mattress. I just wish it would stay cool. If you are buying it specifically for that feature, I would say, keep shopping.

This is the first time I have written a review. I think the product, the mattress is a good product, but not for me. I bought the mattress wanting a more firm mattress, and loved the idea of the engineering and polymer. Unfortunately, the mattress is too soft. When you sit down on it, you sink, but when you lay down on it, you kind of float! It's kind of weird, but good. The problem for me is that I need a harder surface to lay on. I had a memory foam mattress before this, and it clearly was too giving and cocooning. What I found absolutely amazing was the generosity of the company in their return policy... I would use them again should I find something more to my needs.
