I enjoy the customer service at Purple, the marketing is Genius but so far my wife and I have spent 20 plus nights with shoulder pain. We are both lighter weight people and side sleepers and this Mattress doesn't seem good for side sleepers. We ordered during the COVID-19 crisis, what I think we need is a purple 3 but we cant afford it. I suppose we will probably send it back and go with another company assuming they won't move on price.

My wife loves the mattress (she is a back sleeper). It has helped considerably with her back issues. I, on the other hand, am a side sleeper and I have been experiencing shoulder numbness with this mattress (I didn't have this issue with our previous mattress). I am continuing to try this mattress out in the hope that I will adjust to it and stop feeling shoulder pain. Thank you.

I sleep on my side, which caused shoulder soreness issues on previous firm beds; but with the Purple bed my shoulders do not get sore anymore. My legs and hips used to sink into other mattresses, which pulled by back out of alignment, causing back issues. But now my entire body is supported properly, and my back stays in alignment. And this mattress stays cool, as opposed to previous foam mattresses, which radiated my body heat. I love my Purple bed! David

I have the original purple mattress, and couldn't be happier! I have read other reviews where the people said they needed to get used to the feeling of the mattress, but that was not my case. Mine was love at first night. I am typically a very hot sleeper and the cooling properties of this mattress have helped me beyond expectations. If I was mattress shopping today, I can truthfully say I would pick the same mattress over again, which I think is the highest praise you can give any product you've bought.

We love the matress, but the overall expereince with Purple has been just ok. The customer service has not been the best as there were issues with the base being on backorder. However, even with sleeping on the floor, the matress has drastically improved my sleep.

My wife and I were excited to receive our Purple mattress, but the disappointment started as soon as we took it out of the packaging. First, once we unrolled the mattress, we immediately noticed that it was a couple of inches shorter than a standard queen size mattress. This left a gap at either the head or foot of the bed, which is very unappealing to me. Second, on the end of the bed that was in the middle of the roll when it was packaged, there is a slight elevation in the mattress where it actually lifts up when laying flat. On this same end, there is a deformity in the mattress so that it isn't square and the top (sleeping surface) sits in a little from the bottom, causing even more of a gap. So what this means is if you put this end at the foot of the bed, the mattress is raised too much to keep sheets tucked in at the foot, and if you put this end at the head of the bed, there is a gap for your pillow to fall into while you are sleeping. It's a lose-lose situation either way you look at it. In addition, the mattress is way too firm for my liking. The two inches of actual Purple material seems to provide some softness, but once you get past those two inches, you don't feel much cushion. This is the case even using the suggested jersey sheets that have a lot of stretch as suggested on the Purple website. It's also very heavy and difficult to move once unpackaged, but I don't hold this against it because I knew about the weight before my purchase. I know some people will find the Purple mattress very comfortable, but for me it's a no-go. I will be calling Purple for a pick up on this one.

We originally purchased Purple because the foam topper on our old bed, although very comfortable, was really hot. We actually were staining our mattress from sweat. Purple was very easy to order online, was delivered within the week. It is heavy but once on the bed very simple to roll out. It took us at least 2 to 3 weeks of liking one night, to a little to firm the next, before sleeping wonderfully sound ever since. I didn't purchase the sheets however you can tell a difference in firmness with no sheets on the bed. We plan on getting Purples sheets or at least more stretchy sheets as Purple recommends. Overall, hard to believe it took as long as it did but we would absolutely do it again! This is by far the coolest bed we've ever slept on! Does it feel like an air conditioner....no. But it is by no means hot or even warm....very comfortable! J. Bullion

Although I've only had mattress for a few weeks, I can say at this time I have slept better than my old one. Of course, my old mattress was 20 years old. I do feel that it probably will take another month or so to fully get a true feel. As if now I am very pleased

while sleeping on stomach, I can feel a good pressure on my knees. It is definitely a firm bed. I suffer from pretty severe back and nerve problems. If I sleep for too long, I feel a pain near my kidneys. I finally got to spend a regular length night of sleep this weekend, and woke with the same pain. It definitely isolates movement which is great and helps me sleep MORE uninterrupted.

Haven't slept on it for a full 90 days but all of my body parts are feeling just fine so far. I don't see why that would change. When purchasing any sleeping surface, I have to be very conscience of my lower back - too hard or too soft causes pain. Purple hasn't caused any back pain yet and the mattress feels great!
