I've tried to describe the way it feels to other people and the best I can do is that it really is firm, yet soft. All my curvier areas are cradled by the mattress, while the rest of my body is supported. I can sleep on my stomach, back, both sides, and it feels great. I'm also looking forward to the summer, because I can tell already this mattress stays cool. I think its that weird purple rubber matterial and grid design that keeps air flow moving and temps down. P.S. I bought the plateform base and it's bomb too, sleek design, avg height to the ground, and a ton of storage space underneath!

I'm a hair stylist for a living so that means lots of standing and lots of pain everything from my neck and shoulders to my legs and feet but since getting purple my pain has be reduced almost completely and if I go to bed sore I wake up feeling awesome!!!!

I bought the set: one queen mattress, the platform base, two pillows, protector, and two sets of sheets. To begin with, the platform makes noise, The sheets and pillows are taking over a month and a half to arrive. The mattress is ok for the money. I would have been pleased if what they platform base didn't make noises when rolling over. I would have been pleased if the items did not take two months or more to arrive. It would have been better if the website stated out of stock.. Conclusion I'm planning to return my order,

I'll admit, I was super hesitant to purchase a bed online. I went to one mattress store, with less confidence in buying anything there when laying on a few beds for a couple of minutes. Not to mention, I felt very awkward laying there with people looking at me. I've had long term history of severe hip/back/neck/shoulder pain (sports injuries & accident). My husband recently had a bad spell with his lower back (dirt bike riding enthusiast). I spent a few weeks researching several companies. I chose The Purple Mattress based on reviews alone via YouTube. I purchased the purple mattress, pillow, mattress protector, and received the sheets for free as the special. The mattress was delivered first, and everything else a few days later. Delivery timing was good though, much better than I anticipated, based on reviews (no issues for me)! The mattress was good from the start, a little firm feeling, so I thought, but I really do think my body needed to get used to the difference of how I was SUPPOSED to be laying! I noticed I needed a different pillow, since I didn't have the purple pillow yet. My head felt much lower with a semi-cheap pillow I've had way too long. I wake up feeling more refreshed! We don't ever wake each other up by moving around in the night. That might be one of my favorite parts. I kept my husband from a good night's sleep before with our old mattress. Every time I tossed or turned, he would wake up. I moved A LOT! My husband's back issues were gone within a few days (mostly back sleeper + side some)! Since my issues are more severe, I still have some pain in my shoulders, but nothing like the pain I felt sleeping on our previous mattress (side sleeper)! It really does get better and better! I almost can't wait to crawl into bed at night! That said, the purple pillow is what probably made our minds up 100% on keeping everything. Once the pillow arrived, we both thought, no way, this is way too flat, not going to work! I noticed a difference the first night sleeping how much nicer the bed felt with my head placed at the right height! My old crappy pillows would be full in the beginning of the night and within an hour I would wake up to adjust! This never goes flat and it's not too flat like we both were thinking! It's perfect! It makes my head feel like it's floating in a good way. Now having it a month I am not sure how I slept with anything different. Reviews had me prepared for a strong odor and they were correct. I'd say there is a hint of odor even after a month. I really could care less though. I'll never have another pillow other than The Purple Pillow. Worth every penny. I can even tell the air flow is awesome! One night I had my hair damp from showering before bed and I woke up chilled on my scalp from air circulating well! I'm not complaining! That means less of me waking up to turn my pillow over to have a cool side! The mattress protector is so soft and stretchy for a protector. I guess that's the most I've noticed about it since it's so new. I haven't spilled anything on it yet to know if it works properly or not. The slate sheets are so soft and unbelievably stretchy. Everything is perfect for us and we couldn't be more happy with our purchase! We are forever Purple customers!

We shopped around alot (Casper, Amerisleep, Denver Mattress, Purple, Tempurpedic, Sleep Nation) and decided on a Casper mattress. After 30 days, we still had neck and back soreness and when sleeping on our sides, our shoulders would fall asleep. So we returned that and went with the original Purple and regretted not going with this as our first choice. It's the right firmness/squishyness/coolness for us and feels luxurious. Only complaint is that the mattress is super heavy (almost 150lbs for a king) so it was difficult to get upstairs and on the bedframe. Also there is a very slight hint of motion transfer which we didn't have with the Casper. Small prices to pay for all the other pluses.

Purple truly is the "Goldilocks" of mattresses. We tried several mattresses before we finally tried the Purple. Casper, Leesa, and Helix can't compare. Purple is just amazing! My husband likes very firm beds (basically rock hard) and I like a softer feel but still need support. All other mattresses either made his lower back hurt from being too soft or made my shoulders and spine hurt from being too hard. With Purple, we can finally both get a good night's sleep! It really is firm where you need it and soft where you want it. I sing Purple's praises to everyone I can. I have friends and family lay on our bed to see how comfortable it is. I want everyone to experience the awesomeness that is Purple. Thank you, thank you, thank you for existing! Now, if you could just make a Purple pillow, I may never get out of bed!

This is by far the greatest mattress you can get. Other mattresses have caused my double joints to move out of place while sleeping, but the Purple keeps everything in place without making anything lose blood flow. Definitely worth it if you have joint problems or old injuries.

although i havent noticed any reduced pain i do however feel pretty comfortable in this bed - and the sheets that come with it are amazing - i didnt give it the full excellent since we havent had it that long - the package arrival was a little strange to say the least - the fed ex driver couldnt even move it so we had to help her unload it - it is very heave and awkward to say the least

Though it seems it was unfounded. Had back pain with my old mattress and regularly overheated. Have had the mattress for about two weeks and not once overheated or hurt upon waking up. Feel better rested than I ever have. Will be purchasing a new one should I need a larger mattress for a partner in the future.

The edges of this cushion were so hard I got a pain in my upper thighs. I tried to re-position the cushion and the many option of my office chair. No matter what I did the square edge of the cushion would cut into my leg. I returned the cushion with no problems.
